  1. Currently at 15% utilization. No other lates.. my score is only a 670 due to this 30 day late and my oldest open tradeline is only 6 years old.
  2. I was disputing a 30 day late from Capital One that occurred back in August 2016. They recently just sent me a letter stating the late will be deleted. My question is, since it was so long ago, will this even positively impact my score? It's the only late reported on my credit and I have a 690 FICO with Experian. Will I even see a bump? Should I even send this letter in to the CB's? Thanks in advance.
  3. I added this to the post: My FICOs are around 600..never late on anything, its mostly due to opening new accounts in a short time and of course the high utilization. My goal is to be at 700 by April. Paying off these revolvers should help get me halfway there pretty quickly.
  4. Hello all, I took on a decent amount of debt while starting my business and I'm now finally seeing some decent income and finally approaching the surface of the water. I have a net payment coming in of $28,000 and I'd like to know which to pay off (or pay down) first to quickly improve my scores. Unfortunately I don't have the full amount to pay everything off all at once but from what I've read, I may be best served to NOT pay everything off right away. I know taking on the unsecured loans and maxing out credit cards is not the best way to start a business but I've learned from this and
  5. Yes..you are absolutely right.. APR is decreased from 9.99 to 5.25....mainly due to my credit improving and newer car.
  6. Yes, I actually downsized to save money. Cheaper car than what I had previously...shorter term, cheaper payments, cheaper maintenance. Went from an Audi to a Ford.
  7. Hello CB members. I have a problem which was my mistake for not researching.. I was in the market for a car a little over a month ago and shopped around between 4 different dealerships. Each of them pushed their own financing...the salesmen all told me that my score will only go down by a small margin because the bureaus will know I'm shopping around for a large purchase such a mortgage or auto financing. This was certainly true but I now have 31 new hard inquiries which is unfavorable to future creditors. Although I didn't mind each dealer to pull my credit, I didn't want each lender to
  8. That's what I'm thinking too but in this case, the CA is listing recent "last activity" date on my credit report. So if I call or send a letter to the CRA, I'd be asking them to remove the Midland account which Midland is reporting recently.
  9. Hahaha.... Oops, I typed that on my smartphone keyboard. Thanks for the input. DOFD is September 2008.
  10. I have an HSBC credit card debt that was turned over to collections in 2008 when I lost my job. The debt was eventually bought by Midland Funding in July 2009 (says "date opened" on my credit reports) who currently owns it. It's now been 7 years since it was turned over to collections by the OC and Midland hasn't made any effort to collect recently. .....however, it's still on my credit report as a derogatory and last activity reports as very recently (August 2015). What should I do? What would you do in this situation? Thanks in advance.
  11. Oh nice....so many names and titles to choose from. Will choose a few and try to track down their department mailing address. Thank you, that's a direction.
  12. I honestly don't remember....but I did get a response so I'm assuming it went where it was supposed to? If you have a suggestion, let me know and I'll keep trying...but I'm wondering if I have a better chance of having them delete the entire tradeline or just the negatives. Did you research and target the executive in charge of auto lending, and send it to him or her? No, I know I didn't target anyone in particular. I sent it to a general department. Where would I find such specific information?

  14. Hi All, I had an auto loan with Chase Auto from 10/2010 - 12/2013 when it was paid off. During the duration of the loan, I had 3 job changes (laid off from two and the last job has remained to this day). Because of the tumultuous time, I had incurred several 30 day lates and a 60 day late during the course of the loan. Earlier this year, I mailed out a GW letter to delete the lates and they responded that they're unable to do it since it's reporting correctly. My next possible move is to ask them to delete the entire tradeline from all 3 bureaus. Their reason to not delete the lates w
  15. So to clarify, is it true that if the OC doesn't verify to the CRA within 30 days of a dispute, it must be removed. Is this accurate?
