  1. Yikes. So I was paying OC McCormick Ambulance for over a year for an ambulance ride I took. No interest payment plan. I moved and they didn't have the new address. After a few months they just sent the $600 balance to CA Grant Mercantile Agency. I began making payments to Grant Mercantile Agency but I argued I didn't owe interest and didn't make final $120 payment, so they reported to CRAs. Essentially, I could have used your program to save the entire $600 and keep the collection account off my CRs?
  2. CRs had paid medical collection from Grant Mercantile Agency. Made a mistake and paid $120 balance after they refused PFD. Disputed to all 3 CRAs and CA verified. Sent @Why Chat's alternate medical DV for paid collections to Grant Mercantile Agency late last week. Collection account removed from all 3 CRs by today! Thank you!
  3. Talk tough, big guy. We know what that means. It means I'm smarter than you and your friend. If the only way he can afford a BMW is 6% x 60 months with a down payment the size of your brain then he can't really afford a BMW.I'm doing 2.9%, $0 down, $790/month for 60 months or 3.9%, $0 down, $672/month for 72 months. Hopefully you went with the 60 month loan here.....i went 72 but am going to be paying above the car note amount many months. I know it was an error going with 72 and I was advised by guys here to go 60 months and 2.9%. It will work out and hopefully I can refinance at end of year anyway.
  4. good to know. Internet price was 40,865. Seems like they may give to me for 39k. If so i may just take it. It's a diesel and only 22k miles on a 2014 and a lot of options included. If they give you your price you should probably take the deal.2014 BMW 535d m sport. Loaded with options. 22k Miles. 2.9% apr. Internet price 40,865. They are going to accept 39k. There are 535D vehicles for less but they don't have same low miles and the options this one has.Kongrats! That's a nice car. If you're in SoCal, they are ALWAYS going to deal. Too many BMW dealerships and so many leases that they have piles of 2014's they have to move, especially with summer coming and the 2015's about to come back. thanks! Finally done renting a damn c class from avis for like 1500-1700 a month... Waited to make sure my credit was decent enough for a good apr. Congrats on the BMW. However, what you have spent on renting from Avis has far exceeded what you saved in finance charges from a marginal APR improvement. And you could have just planned to refinance to a lower APR with a good CU once your FICO's hit Tier 1 levels if you had initially purchased a car to prevent the Avis rental deal.thanks for the congrats. Yes I think you're correct, the rental situation could have been managed better. I began the rental situation at a point where I thought i would not be found at fault for the accident that totaled my car or at worst there would be a comparative negligence. Under these circumstances there was a path for reimbursement for the high cost rental. Ended up being 80/20 comp neg, not in my favor, so I will get basically negligible reimbursement for the business related rental. You make good points about money that could have been saved but hey live and learn. Glad the folks here provided helpful info for the new purchase.

  7. buying it at 39k. Only going to get gap coverage. BMW is going to offer a chocolate load of add ons when I speak to Finance guy.

  10. internet price for car was 40,865. I offered them 38,000. They said no but can do 40,000. I said 39,500 plus they have to tint windows and install the m performance black grill for free... What do you guys think. If I walk out right now you think they will offer 39k. They are saying their internet price is fair and they don't have much room to go down.
  11. hes quoting me payments at 2.9% right now. If they can get me 2.9% should I by today? Even when my scores update in 30 days I won't be in the 720 or 725 range that is probably needed for 1.9%. Also he said I should go with 72 month term even tho it will bump me from 2.9 to 3.9 because of the Lower payment and I can always pay more per month if I want.
  12. Thanks. So they had to run all 3 bureaus at BMW. Anyway, they said auto enchanced Fico came back at 640 Experian and TU 682. They know my EX will increase to close to TU after update. I fell short of their tier 1 which qualifies for 1.9% apr special for cpo cars but they said I'm approved for all CPO cars at max 4.9% and once we get a deal on paper they can ask the bank to bump me down to 1.9-3.9%. Anything I should be doing or asking? Thx for all the help from everyone here.
  13. ok here now. Let me see the car and get the conversation started with the sales guy.
  14. On my way to BMW dealership. I was trying to use the advice here that stated that I can have experienced Finance manager only run TU. I told them that over the phone and they are insisting they have to run all 3 and will take highest. Any suggestions?
  15. Nice of you to help your friend make a $hit financial decision. 6% on 60 months with 10% down? That's a garbage loan right there. What should I be gunning for with my scores? 0 down and 4%? I'm either leasing a c43 amg or buying a 2014 BMW 535d.
  16. Since no one said anything about this, let me say this.. disputing an active account is not a good idea. Several cases were reported were CRA deleted those accounts. Yeah I'm surprised so many people still do this. The other hard rule is never dispute hard inquiries on accounts you don't want to disappear forever. Never dispute hard inquiries that were done on your request, either, or that fraud alert may stick around for a long time. Disputing balances doesn't even make any sense since they get updated properly on the time frame that the vendor decides to update. I understand that balances get updated regularly. I'm anxious to get a car this weekend so I disputed so the balances would reflect paid in full. It seems to have worked for TU and I'll submit loan app with 697 instead of 673 instead of waiting till June 13 for the updated reporting. Valid point that disputing active account can get it deleted especially TU since they seem to delete the easiest. Luckily it worked out for me. I'm in an expensive rental car that I need to dump asap.
  17. Disregard. Looks like score is back to 697.
  18. But you agree that I can specifically ask BMW and Mercedes to only pull TU?
  19. This is very helpful. I thought I would have to wait for EQ and EX to update before approaching BMW. Based on your post I can approach BMW and have them run TU. I have a myFICO membership so I can show the Finance manager the current scores in the app.
  20. well I'm 697 TU. So if I can ask BMW to only run TU that would be good. I already know that MB financial will only run TU for purposes of a lease.
  21. Overnight went up to 697 TU from 673 as a result of disputing the balances on accounts I paid off in full.
  22. GAP had to cover what was owed on previous car. Settlement based on injuries will be pending for awhile and I'm in an exoensive rental that is no longer covered.
