I am looking for help in responding to the following letter:
This account has a DOLA (paid settlement)of 1/12/1998. It was a settlement paid to another collection agency for less than the full amount. I live in Illinois and the SOL on credit card accounts is 5 years. The account fell off my credit report 2 years ago and is still off. I have copies of the settlement as well. How do I respond to the following letter?
