Ok so I ended up apping for PNC blank check program. I am going to pick up my check today and packet. My score is lower than originally anticipated because of a credit card not reporting yet. I will update the credit approvals thread when I get the paxket and my score later today. My question is. I am approved for 3.4 at 72 months. Should I let the dealer see if they can beat it? My score will increase because of the util dropping. Is it realistic that a dealer can beat that rate?

What time do credit bureaus update?
futurehomeowner? replied to futurehomeowner?'s topic in Credit Forum
When the creditor reports and when the CRA updates are two entirely different things. We have no idea when a CRA will update for you. You have to monitor your reports. I figured that. I didn't know if there was an actual rule for it. I ended up pulling the trigger and was approved for 72 months at 3.4%. They advertise 2.8 so my util may have cost me .6% -
What time do credit bureaus update?
futurehomeowner? replied to futurehomeowner?'s topic in Credit Forum
I haven't checked the other 2 yet. I checked TU and it wasn't so I figured the other 2 don't matter sonce my bank is pulling all 3, yuck. Since I am on babysitting duty this morning I decided to call TU. He said they have not received the data file yet. Once they receive it, it will update between immediately and 48 hours. I called the credit card and she confused me a little. My statement online shows a statement date of the 9th but she said the statement cut on the 13th. Maybe she meant that is when the new statement was printed. I will check EQ and Ex in a few to see what they show. -
What time do credit bureaus update?

I figured since it said updated on 2/10 thst meant TU put it on there 2/10. So that could mean the CC sent it to them on 2/10 but for all I know TU could have put it on there last week? Maybe I will call TU, I wonder if they will give that info out. -
We are applying for car loan and I had 1 card at 0% but high util so it was hurting score. I paid it off last month and have been waiting for the update on bureaus. TU updated this TL on 1/09 and 2/10. It is now 3/14 and it is still showing balance with update date of 2/10. I need to apply today in order to get check in time for friday. Is there any hope that either 1. TU could still update at some point today. I figured their systems updated at midnight or something. Or 2. I could call and get them to push it through.

I never noticed that section. Thanks for pointing it out. I read most of them last night. I also looked at the recently approval section which was very enlightening. I think I am going to apply at PNC bank which is local to this area. They seem to run a system like cap one where they send you a blank check and their rates are 2.89 for 72 months on 2014 cars.
-
One reason I was going to apply was they have 2.9 at 66 months on used. So to get that I would need to get the terms at the dealer?

We are looking at buying a used ford. I wanted to apply prior to buying so we knew where we stand. Does anyone have experience with applying online? They havea credit app online but they don't mention APR ahead of time. Does anyone know what their range is for used cars and how they are with approvals.

My dog gas diabetes. We give her insulin twice a day. The vet wanted us to buy their special food for like $100 for 25 pounds. I did some research and settled on Canidae grain free with bison. It is around $50 for 24 pounds. We could tell an immediate difference in her having to go pee.

I am going to call them tomorrow. I was reading their FAQS and it seems that you get pre approved, find a car, submit paperwork, check is sent next day for a fee, then dealer gives you car. Is that the same thing that happens on normal loans? They way it makes it seem is that you have to make a second trip to dealer. Maybe thay is standard but dealers let you take car that day instead of coming back?

After looking around all last night it appears that CUS are the best in rates. Are they difficult to deal with? If I called DCU today to sign up. I assume I would have to open a checking then apply for the loan? If that is the case any idea how long it takes to go from start to buying a car? I know there are always different circumstances but is this a process that can be done in 2 or 3 days or is it a 2 week type of process. Lastly, how do I actually buy a car with their approval. Do they send a blank check like cap one or is it just letter you take with you and they submit the paper work to them? I know these are all questions that I could call and ask but I am still trying to figure things out.

It is a long story but it wasn't a bankruptcy. The short story. I did one of the they send you a check loan. When my company went bad I tried turning in the car. They said no so I kept car. They have never come to get the car, but I can't drive it because I don't have the title or a plate. This was 10 years ago. I think it is best to stay away from them.

I want to go to the dealer ship with an approvAL in hand. Obviously would like a good rate as well but I am ok with a slightly higher rate as well. I know all banks give auto loans but was curious as to which banks are most popular on here that would also give a pre approval. Capital one is out since I burnt them 15 years ago.

Master Thread of 2016 CC Retention Offers

Ahhh didn't realize that. I guess it can just be closed then since by the time it ages off my good cards will have plenty of age. -
I also get a weekly per diem of $150. Can I include that as income as well? I know for mortgages you really can't but didn't know if cars were different. The per diem is for gas since I drive about 300 miles a week.

Remember positive accounts stay on for 10 years after closing so it won't have an immediate affect on your AAOA if you close it. Isn't there an average age of open and them an average age of all including closed? I know it should just be closed since it was a garbage card but it was my first rebuilder and it has grown to 5k limit. -
Auto Rico is different than Mtg fico

What is the big difference in scoring for auto and normal fico? -
Thanks marv, going for financing is so nerve racking. I used to sell cars and I can remember 3 or 4 times that I sold a car on a weekend and the loan never went through so we had to go get the car. I think I am going to try to have a pre approval on hand before I even go.

Is there any way to get merrick to remove the AF? It is my only credit line over 5 years and haven't wanted to close it. Most of my cards are under 2 years so it would hurt my AAOA. I called once a while back and they said FOAD. -

My journey to credit repair starts NOW!!!!
futurehomeowner? replied to futurehomeowner?'s topic in Credit Forum
Well chase is still angry at me for some reason. They have balance chased all 3 of my chase cards with no recon. The only reason they had balances were because of 0% BT. I received 3 new cards today. American Express starwood wood for 11k Discover it for 11k BofA rewards card for 5k. I transferred my chase balances to discover with their 0% BT so I will see if chase closes my cards or leaves them alone at 5k, 3k, and 3k. Also my wife's reports are all now 100% clean. Her student loans were 120 days late 7 years ago and I couldn't get them to remove so I had to wait for them to age off. Well last month was the month. All 12 of her loans latest aged off. I updated my signature but I did it from my phone so I think I messed it up. -
New credit right before mortgage pre approval? Advice please!
futurehomeowner? replied to lshin's topic in Mortgages
If you are trying to get approved like next month you are going to have to go through some hoops. They will need an explanation why you are opening a bunch of credit lines.
