  1. Whats the age of the item(s) reported? They only report for 5 years. If the items is rarely new, then I would definitely dispute. Send the proof of payment to Chexsystems. They should have provided an address on the report they sent. If it is old, i would leave it alone and let it fall off. Just my 2 cents...
  2. Thanks for the info, I will keep this updated as I get them.
  3. Last week, after being denied with the online application, I went into a local branch with my denial letter, and my proof from the 2 items on my credit report (NFCU used TU). Even with a 580 something TU score, they resubmitted, rescored, and got a unsecured cash rewards from NFCU w/ a $7,000 limit. Don't give up hope. If they deny, go into a branch and ask them to reconsider.
  4. The settlement administrator seems to be just an automated #, and gives you the mailing address. Figures Chicagorich, I do believe an ITS letter is appropriate. I do think I'll dispute with CHEXSYSTEMS first to see if they'll remove, then attack the bigger beast...
  5. A few weeks ago I applied online for a motorcycle loan with Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU). At first, all was well with the online rep. He said to call back in a few hours for an answer on the APR, Terms, etc... When I called back, DENIED! When the denial letter came in, it said the reason was: current late charges, and a current collection, credit score = 588. I went into an actual NFCU branch with the denial letter, and with a letter stating the collection account had been previously removed (db ca added back on after the OC deleted), and a letter from WFHM stating the late charges were e
  6. I had a BOA checking and savings acct from Aug 2007 through April 2009. I had over $10,000 between the 2 acct's. I used alot of the funds to pay some accts off from my previous marraige, buy some stuff, but never came close to a $0 balance. Due to the way they input these transactions from largest to smallest, the way they held my direct deposits until they charged me ODF's ($500-$600 at a time ) I ended up paying over $4600 in ODF's in a year period. I even took out $4,000 in loans to cover the difference. They "force closed" the acct in July 2009. They're adamant that I still owe them $848.0
