  1. Do some research on thread count, it can be deceptive, and 1000 does not make a sheet "better." Even Frette sheets only go to 500, if you want to spend about $1k on a set. My favorites are Brooklinen or Boll and Branch, although I don't buy Brooklinen anymore because they changed the pillowcase style from open-end to envelope (personal preference.) I've had both for over a year, and they are just as nice, or nicer, as the first time I used them. I've also given them as gifts and the giftees loved them. These are not bargain-priced, but coupons and discounts can be found.

  4. Should never have looked in here . . . Now I'm craving homemade french fries!
  5. Did he call customer service?
  6. CK often says something has been removed, when it actually has only been temporarily removed from CK. A month or 2 later it comes back and looks like a new derog. Whenever CK tells you there has been a major change, it's always best to check the actual report. If you dispute from CK, you can't check the real report to confirm. If you dispute the recommended way, directly, when the results are in, you can then see the results on the actual report. There are other reasons for not disputing on CK, if you are interested, I am sure someone can point you in the right direction. The folks here know what they are talking about. If you are happy to settle for CK to keep track of your CR, that's fine, but trying to sell it on CB that CK as an accurate, legit and great way to do it, isn't going to be met with 'Congrats'. Many newbies come to learn, and when they stumble on a thread such as this, it can be very misleading. It's important for members to keep calling out bad and incorrect info.
  7. OP, you can post a screen shot of your score page (without id info.)
  8. That is the exact same page I bought my scores and reports from last night from TruCredit, just a different address. Scores all match CK That's just a tremendous coincidence because those two services offer different scoring models. Vantage and FICO-08. Are you sure it wasn't this page http://www.truecredit.com/3scores-ice-test/?channel=paid&cid=ppc:GOOGLE:c:TC_B_Core_Exact:truecredit:cid1&kwid=43700005562518066&opti_ca=166305421&opti_ag=12095791141&opti_ad=106869064741&opti_key=kwd-64312360&gclid=CMPYhKLEq9ACFQpWDQodCoUCBQ&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CNm7jaLEq9ACFUoGDAodobQEcA Or this: http://www.trucredit.com
  9. That is the exact same page I bought my scores and reports from last night from TruCredit, just a different address. Scores all match CK TruCredit and CreditCheckTotal are NOT the same. TruCredit are fako scores.
  10. OP, your CK and other fako scores can be off as much as 100 points in either direction. Just for example, my CK TU is currently 27 points lower than my Fico 08 score. CK and others use different methods for calculating a skore, than Fico does. There are also a few dozen different Fico models, Fico 08 is used most often. Please do some more reading on Fico scores, and why disputing from CK is not a goid idea. https://www.creditchecktotal.com You can check all 3 Fico 8 scores for $1. Just cancel before the trial is up.
  11. Yes because max is either $50K or $80K depending on which card.Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk I was under the impression that max means the max a person is qualified for at the time, not the maximum the card will go to.I don't think selecting max. is related to an HP. No, max means you're requesting the max and they will counter or decline.Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk I requested max., and received an instant approval for an increase to $10k, there was no counter. If what you say is true, and the card goes to $50 or $80k, shouldn't there have been a counter? I could understand this if one asks for a specific amount, say $25 or $50k, then there may be a counter. But I still don't think asking for maximum is related to an HP. If a recent AR was done, it would likely be a SP, whatever is asked for.

  14. My 3rd stmt cut 10/24. After reading this, decided to give my lovely $1300 CLI a shot, instant to $10,000. I can stop complaining now.
