  1. I got an offer from Merrick several years back which I accepted. Doubled my limit in 6 months to $1800. Never increased again. It's been in the sock drawer for years. I've heard its subprime but I think it was helpful in my rebuild, without the crazy fees.
  2. Showing up on time at the dealership service department and STILL having to wait another 30 minutes to get your car in. WTH
  3. Oregon is on the list of states I've never visited: - Alaska - Idaho - Kentucky - Maine - Montana - Oregon - Vermont I have no desire to go to any of these, with the exception of Alaska. You take that back! I lived in Oregon from 1980-2011. One day I will get out of this crap fest and move back. I want to go to Alaska, too. Let's see: - I hate Seattle. - San Francisco is fun for up to three consecutive days, but only if the sun is out. Ergo: It's impossible that anything in between would win my heart. Then go the 5 days out of the year it's sunny. No. You realize that Alaska is cold? I'm not going in February, you silly turd. I would love to go then. I own about 80 coats. No Minnie, trust me you would not. I lived in AK for 20 years. Feb is NOT when you go for a visit. July is best, IMHO. Alaska is not to be missed however, it lives up to the hype.
  4. I called the automated line and asked for CLI's on my Blue Nile repeatedly until it shut me down. Took me from 4500->13500. But it didn't seem to work on my TR. YMMV.
  5. Thanks. It was my white whale for a long time. I think that's the right saying. White elephant? Heck, I dunno. My white whale too. Congrats again!
  6. I was approved for 1.49% (with DD). My EQ score was 699. I believe cv is correct that 680 is the cut off for the best rate.
  7. Might want to look at the Total Rewards Visa - Comenity product. Approval gets you 10K points and platinum status for discounts/VIP service at Caesar's properties. High initial limits, balance transfer opportunities periodically and points specials. There are some high rollers on this board who know all the tricks on this card and commented in a few threads. Search for it.
  8. That's what TD wants as my next car. The taxi that took us from the airport to our hotel in Amsterdam was a Tesla Model S. I've enjoyed my Volt but it's almost time for a new car. Would love a Model S, but the damn thing is super spendy. What are you considering cv? I meant that I'm not letting TD pick out the next car. I let him tak me in to the Lexuzzzzzzzzz, and it's my Mudlandmobile. We aren't looking now, but it's my turn to choose next time. This is my current favorite: That is a sexy, sexy beast. I'm gathering it's not in "affordable luxury" category - LOL!
  9. Wow! Congrats on the new Amex and fabulous bonuses. I don't come around CB much these days (first grandchild is more exciting) but I love seeing you continue to charge ahead. You're an inspiration!

  11. What did your credit look like at the time of the CSP approval? 6.5 yr old BK. Score hovering around 700. No baddies aside from BK. Started at $5k, I think. 1 year and 1 month later up to $23,500. Very heavy usage - This is my daily spender, outside of Gas and Grocery. Matti - was the CSP an instant approval or did you have to recon?
  12. They're all bad. The new Murano is way better looking now. I'll give Nissan that. I picture you in either a red 370Z coupe or a brown Mercury Topaz. Because they are so similar. Can't you just get a new computer? I replaced that POS two years ago. I want to upgrade it to Windows 10 so I can use it for a couple of weeks before I upgrade my dad's PC. I am my family's Geek Squad and their travel agent, among other roles. Well, I think it's going to take 2 weeks to upgrade. More like 2 years at the rate it's going. Minnie, I see you in an Acura.
  13. I would get them. I'm gonna try and convince my g/f to get them. Which of you has a Fiat Multipla? Just looking at it gets me dizzy Due to the sheer number of candidates it was impossible to pick the worst/ugliest car we saw in Italy, but this was a definite contender. cv, glad you are home, safe and sound and making new friends (your sig). That Fiat is almost as hideous as the Pontiac. Strudel please.
  14. I got my results back from my TU dispute. I actually disputed 4 items - 3 out of 4 deleted. A Chase IIB from 03/09 remains. Should I try again next month? What were the dates of the three that were successful, if you don't mind me asking? Did you have a 3/09 deleted or were they all earlier? Edit: I have some 3/09 myself, so I'm particularly interested. Also, did you call or dispute online? I had a 01/09, 02/09 and 2 03/09's. All were deleted except 1 03/09, which makes no sense. I disputed online and it came back in less then a week.

  16. Also do you have any goals for rewards with your cards - travel or cash back? That may be reason to add to your portfolio.
  17. I'm still trying to figure out the lime flavored milk chocolate my son left behind. Uh, ewwwww!
  18. How many cards do you have and how long have you had them?
  19. I don't know how anyone in Compton made you screw up your credit but get over blaming others and start reading. The answers you need to improve your credit are here if you are willing to accept responsibility and get to work.
