  1. Whoa now, Cowboy! Don't want to read your " How do I rebuild after divorce thread". But if you must, they have some equally unattractive Dad Jeans that match. Gawd! Most excellent foresight! You're right.......I'll have to get some for myself too... Wait..........no? [emoji38] What's good for the goose, not-so-good for the gander, eh? They do have PJ's that aren't too hideous. And of course, deer urine.

  3. I bought some flannel jammies and have a monthly $10 donation to my alma matter charged to it. Otherwise it sees zero action. I do get the catalog and laugh since I'm the furthest thing from sportswoman. No guns/ammo, mom jeans or camouflage jackets for me!
  4. Just did this and got increased to $10,400. Thanks! Nice!! Ya'll are making my Comenity limits look like poo. congrats... Hey, my deer pee card's at $3500 and won't budge.lol!

  6. Congrats Ron! Just got approved for one myself-gonna see if they bump up the limit after I register it. Lol! So true!
  7. That's what I'm talking about!! I've been spying on Turks & Caicos -- or maybe even Anguilla. But I could be convinced to do a quick stop in the Islands of Approvals and Bonuses along the way Yes, its quite nice here. Took a lot of planning and positioning over the last 6 months.I suggest everyone on the farm at least look into a biz card or two. The EIN and BK have stopped me from moving on that. Are any BK friendly? If you have your act together, you can apply as a sole proprietor with your Social as the tax ID. Apparently its not very hard. I have a couple TIN / EIN at my disposal, so I am running with them for the moment. I know nothing about BK's, friendliness towards etc. I can tell you that Chase pulled my TU for an Ink Plus, with TU at ~740 and asked me a bunch of questions about the business, my 6 1/2 year old mortgage late, and my newer credit lines. Amex pulled EX at ~720 and TU again at ~740. The only hoops I had to jump through was supplying my EX pin, and they wanted to call me back at the phone number I provided to verify it. No questions asked in regards to my reports or business. I did use an invitation code that was sent to my business partner on that application. Not sure what if anything that had to do with the approval process. Just know it got me 100,000 MR points. This may not be a viable option for me due to the BK but should work for DH. Getting a EIN is not a big deal. Thanks for sharing this.
  8. Mayonnaise will get those water marks out if you have them. buy a glass top May have to go with the glass top which makes me sad but will save the table. Thanks for the suggestions!
  9. Congrats!!! We are really enjoying ours, plenty of room for all of and the dogs. Happy driving!
  10. Thanks for the congrats all- cv, I owe a big thanks to you. Your wit and sound advice are invaluable to me and this board. I think of you when I look at my new truck and know I wasn't eaten alive by a finance guy! You're a blessing!
  11. Because I BK'd I've done little repair besides disputing some baddies, removing BK, GW letters etc. but I'm willing to help because E. Norma sounds like a gal after my own heart! More info please!
  12. So true!!! You've got the right attitude, especially when dealing with Discover.

  14. Congrats!! Only got a $500 bump from them but I consider that lucky being Discover and all.
  15. It is not too much to ask at all. On a side note, the dishwasher is not broken. I went back to my old soap and it works fine. The weird thing is that the new soap I was trying worked for over a week. What a relief about the dishwasher. But the soap thing is strange, why should it matter, right?
  16. Big congrats!!! Jealous that you made it to $100k with so few TLs.
  17. Holy smokes!!!! Hope EQ and TU follow suit!
  18. Congrats to you!!! That is really great progress and a good milestone to hit! Don't worry about "too many accounts" as it will pay off in the long run by making your AAOA solid as a rock. When you open new accounts in a few years it will have almost zero impact on your AAOA going forward. Thanks nate! My AAOA is 4 years despite opening way too many cards, thanks to my oldest negative TL being 11yrs. But my negs start dropping off next year and I will be in a pickle then-lol! Praying for Amex in 2016 and 1989 D*
  19. Start with the Barclay Rewards card. It seems to be their starter card, but I was able to grow mine and then move the limit to my Arrival later. I love Barclay.
  20. Why can't people use coasters for their drinks? I've got an antique dining table and I don't want water marks. Is that too much to ask?
  21. Read Mendelssohn's journey thread. I've learned a lot from him - he's wicked smart and gives solid advice, as do most folks on CB! Good luck!
  22. Congrats! Can't seem to get anyone to give me anything except Cap1. Granted it's only 5 months since discharge but I feel left out of the party. Patience is required. Keep plugging away with that Cap1. Eventually another lender will let you in once you've established a good payment history. The first year was painful but a good time for learning. In my case, I focused on budgeting and making sure I had plenty of cash for a rainy day. I also didn't find CB until year 2! So I didn't know what I was missing-lol! Stay the course and it will pay off eventually.
  23. Good morning CBers. Just wanted to give some thanks to this forum for helping me on my ongoing journey from BK to someday 800's. I joined this forum two years ago with scores in the low 600's and $1500 in available credit. I made some mistakes along the way, like too many store cards and maybe too many accounts overall. But this morning, I added up everything and realized I was over the $100k mark with scores in the high 600's, low 700's. I still got a loooong way to go till prime, but with 5 TL's at $10K or more, I feel like I'm finally making progress! Best of all, I financed a car at 1.49%, not the usual high interest BKers get stuck with. None of it would have been possible without the wisdom and humor of this board. Thank you CB!
  24. The boredom on the farm got to me. Headed to the market: Overstock-10k ( preapproved email, soft ) Discover-1000->1500(soft but disappointing) JcPenneys-3200->4200 VS-1700->2100 The Overstock tipped me over the $100K mark!!!! It's my 5th trade line at $10k or higher. Higher limits beget higher limits with BK? Jury is still out on that.
  25. Big Congrats on getting in with Chase! Did you IIB them?
