It does have some nice perks- the companion ticket is a great one, cancellation fee waiver is nice too. Checking out their routes to make sure I'll get plenty of use out of it- they fly out of LA, to SF and some east coast destinations that we considering. Still not sure if it's worth it yet. More research to be done.

Twin, you are off to a good start! I removed my BK from EQ using the pinned thread in this forum. Surprisingly painless. I would start with EQ because TU is a much harder nut to crack. Folks have had success removing IIB's using the tactics in this thread: http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=532792 One member was able to remove his BK on TU using that method as well, YMMV. Of course, you got very lucky with EX. Once you get the BKs/IIBs off, check out Newbietofinance's thread in the BK forum. He has the template for the picture perfect credit rebuild. Very inspiring! Anyone have this card? I'm interested in the free bags and the fact that I hear good things about flying VA. Just wondering what others who have the card have experienced.

I have a bk 3 years oldCrazy....my scores were 715-725 with nearly 10 year old BK and 80k income....my Venture was 'only' 10k.I actually got mine a week before the crack thread....maybe a should've waited a week??? oh well Feel ya. I was 6 months too early.

I only got 10K but I was in the low 700's with a BK. Got too many Cap1's or I'd try for another for the bonus"miles".

Thanks for the tip, also do you know how long it takes till the Platinum status upgrade hits your TR account? Still don't know where we are staying, what do you recommend? We want to stay on the strip and I was considering Caesar's. Just to add in my two cents on this. I agree with pwd847 and you should just go to the total rewards desk and tell them you need a new card. You should also make sure you have a login setup for your total rewards card so you can check offers/balances etc. The cool thing about being platinum is that you are automatically offered their slot/blackjack mid-week tournaments. Depending on your situation, you could have a Monday-Thursday high end room for just the resort fees (I DO miss having those waived with this card). But you get really good rates/offers so constantly look and do different searches. Also, make sure you ONLY redeem your total rewards credit at locations that allow it (dining, shopping, etc). Don't try to use them for any other redemption online as the value is reduced by almost half. But it's really nice when your in vegas for things like the buffets... you can just skip the line at all of the locations. Just flash your card and run ahead. The other thing that is not heavily promoted is the offerings and credits you get. I always get between $10-$30 slot credit for Reno (2 hours from Sacramento). So when I go up there I go for other reasons and then just pop in and use the credit and leave. They still send them to me because of my Platinum status. Last bit is they added it so if you spend 5k in the calendar year, you get to keep platinum. I churn a lot of credit (work, gambling when I am not in the US, etc) and just pay it back for the 5,000 worth spent just keep platinum now. Thank you so much for the great info/ advice! I only stay at properties that are free not counting the resort fees. At Harrah's, Rio, Flamingo, and Bally's you can stay free. Most people consider these the "Dumpy" properties. If you are thinking Caesar's I am pretty sure that is over $100. I usually find the best special rates booking through TotalRewards.com. Even though people rip on the Flamingo, I really loved the room there. The floor to ceiling windows with a view of the courtyard were really cool. I am pretty sure the Platinum status should come through by next month. If it doesn't, go to the Total Rewards Desk and they should help you. Your Platinum will be good through 2016. I'm not adverse to free! And I like Bally's and the Rio so this is great to hear! Thank you pwd847 and imma for the great advice. I will let you know which one I end up with! Very excited for this trip, and I will be going to Vegas more this year so this is good stuff.

They work fine on HSN and Total Rewards, both softs. Did both of them within the past month, so I highly doubt thats accurate from my observation of things (and till more reports come in). They DID do a HP on the TR application, but I knew they would already, even w/ the popup from the website. With that said, my app approval was 2500, Luv button on day 1 --> 3700. Tried a 2nd time and got the 7-10 day. Just logged into my TR account, they got a 0% for 12 months offer for BT's with a 3% BT fee. Nothing I have is interest accruing anyway, but might be some 411 for others. I was wondering if TR pop-up was a hard pull. Just got approved tonight but can't check until tomorrow. Congrats on approvals!

All these Comenity threads got me thinking about my Total Rewards account. I logged in and finally got the Total Rewards Visa pop-up. Approved - $14,500/0%!!!! I immediately registered online and asked for a CLI - $17,500!!!! My highest initial CL!!!
