  1. Pam speaks the truth. Only bad thing is the smell. But it's worth it.
  2. Had no problems getting my Lowe's - a year after BK and online with a TU pull. You should have zero problems. Cheers on the new home!
  3. No new cards until 04/16, when I can finally app for an Amex (5 yrs post BK).
  4. Thanks for the info. Going to continue to ask for CLI's quarterly and hopefully get them both up.
  5. 24 years? We can't find a vacuum that lasts more then a year. Brand? Riccar. Thanks. Going to check em out.
  6. Wow-had no idea you could get Comenity CL that high. I have a Total Rewards at $17K. Looks like it can grow quite a bit more. My SG is only at $5K and it's an older account, What was your starting limit with the FRN?

  8. It's life changing. No more shaving.
  9. A real man knows when he's beat. Stay strong my friend.
  10. Sure, an Amex would be lovely. But I have a 4 year old BK. TR gets you VIP checking at Ceasars Prpoerties, discounts on rooms, food, shows etc. Thers a whole thread on the card somewhere...
  11. Ah sh!t, I think I did it in the last thread! Good morning, cv. Forgive me.
  12. I can so relate to this.... at 3% cash advance fee plus 28% interest would been a catalyst so PIF ASAP...... maybe pay it in 3 or 4 months instead of 12 months... you will still pay interest but will mitigate SOME of your loss.... FWIW, this is why I keep a DEBIT card.... I am a semi-regular gambler.... when I go to the casino, I take nothing but my license, lipgloss and that debit card.... I get XX amount deposited into this, my "eff-it" account weekly.... when its gone, its gone.... no way for me to go overboard ( and trust me I MAJORLY lack self-control) Best use of a debit card. Did the same myself last time in Vegas and didn't use my whole kitty. i won and walked away!
  13. I have several Commenity cards which I use and I'm not the least bit ashamed of them. I have a Total Rewards Visa with a $17.4K limit that has brought me some nice perks in Vegas with Platinum status. My 10K Overstock hasn't seen a lot of use but it will when I start some housewares shopping again. My Sportsman Guide Visa has periodic 0% balance transfers that have been helpful. Some folks hate Commenity because of their second tier, unprime status. Whatever, they have worked for me.
  14. Did you call Ron? I was denied a CLI after a year of running a crapload of spend thru the Rewards card and perfect PIF payment history. I did have a BK though. Hope they are kinder to you.
  15. Congrats Ron, although I would've thought you had this one by now! I have a 5K limit on mine and it comes in handy for large home purchases. Used it last summer for window shades. Combined it with Ebates and got a 20%discount plus cash back. Cheers!
  16. No s#!t !!!! And how the frack did this happen - We're on "vacation" - yeah. DW is going on shopping sprees with my credit card. I'm trying to rebuild a deck for Dad. Changing out old, warped boards for Trex. Ended up stripping it down to the frame and it's still not 100% right. That would involve yanking the posts and re-setting them. Not happening. In 90+ degree mid-Atlantic heat. You should have skipped the vacay and had a staycation instead. Your trip sounds cray cray.
  17. I have black interior and exterior. Thank goodness for remote start. Me three! Black car, black leather, hotter than sin. Lucky you are headed to Portland. Have a safe, cool(er)trip. So sorry to hear about your furry one.
  18. Ron - congrats and welcome to the saddest club on earth - the WF Visa Cardholder Club where CLI's are as common as unicorns. Proud member myself!
  19. Yep. I'm waiting for my letter in the mail. Me too. Got a follow up email at work letting us know OPM would be mailing them out soon. Yippee.
  20. You must of skipped steps. EQ was easy to get removed! Plus DONT GIVE UP. You know how many times I got the same news? I was persistant and always prevailed, sometimes it took months. Is the addy to the BK still on EQ? Did you open a PO Box? How did you dispute it? Definately need more details. I removed the address associated with the BK first then disputed the BK with EQ and it was deleted. This was prior to opting out of LN. It was very easy at the time and I was stunned.
  21. Did we app on the same day?IIRC you can get up to $15K with a soft pull. I'm at $5K now. I can't remember! I called a couple days ago and was told that I need to wait to June 1 as that is the 7 month mark. So, I must have apped ~ October 1. We 3 app'd on the same day. I will be going for my CLI on June 1 too. Bummer about TD but I agree that Nordsrtrom won't tolerate toy cards. I remember you made me apply. It was a very good Saturday.

  23. When I disputed my BK off EQ last year, I did not dispute the IIBs first. EQ changed most of those accounts to positive lines. On close examination(manual UW) the IIB notation is still there. Weird but I've left it alone to avoid possible reinsertion of the BK. That's great. when I disputed mine, I got rid of all IIBk accts first, then had no problem getting the bk removed. To each their own. That probably would have been the wisest approach. My IIBs are all set to drop early next year so I'm just waiting. LKH, were you able to get EX and TU to remove the BK?
