  1. Well I was certainly notified. I travel for work and vacation both. There are times when my balances get high but only for a month until my expense reports catch up. I have never worried about it knowing I had a couple of cards I could use if needed. I guess I will go and put some of my monthly expenses on other cards this month to try and avoid this. I still feel its a shame. I had this problem with Capital one too, but to their credit they called me and asked what they needed to do to get me to use the card. Since that conversation I do use it every couple of months. I used to not care for Cap one but at least they valued me as a customer enough to call me in advance and work it out. I will not have any Chase products again.
  2. I'll play Devil's Advocate here... If you're not using the card, why should they keep it open? What's in it for them? Probably nothing, other than a long standing customer and solid credit risk. I have had the card almost 6 years and carried a balance on it for 4 of those years. Never paid late. Shame they toss aside solid customers. It's the draw back to good credit I guess. all those years of getting it back on track.. and when you do and get solid scores in the mid 700's and no negatives in over 5 years they start dropping you. Their loss. If you have scores in mid 700's you can always get more credit to replace what you have lost. yes, at the expense of a new inquiry and new trade line. Both of which hurt your score. I would have rather paid a small annual fee to keep it than have to apply for a new card. I still have two cards, both with decent lines. One Citi rewards card with 8500 CL and one Hooters with 10K. I use them both when I travel for business and they usually have a balance for one month before i pay them off. I guess I should have included Chase but it was not a cash back card so i stopped using it.

  4. Chase got me today. its the 3rd account i have had closed in the last 60 days. They cited lack of activity. i had not used it in 13 months. It hurts your credit score by changing your balance to available credit ratio and if you have to replace it with another card the inquiry and new line of credit brings your score down. Total BS.
  5. I saw they lowered my cl from 8600 to 3350. I called them and they said it was because I never used the entire cl and so they decreased it. What BS. I never carry a balance but do use it for business travel monthly and pay it off. Usually 2000 - 2500 per month. What a joke.
  6. I havent got a letter yet, but I called. They are converting mine to a chase, but would not give me any information on what the CL would be. Mine is 5000 and use it alot but pay it in full every month. I would hate to see it lowered.
  7. I lost 40 lbs on the atkins 3 years ago. I have managed to keep the weight off but walking alot and now only allowing myself one serving of bread or potato a day. Never both on the same day. works for me.
  8. Just depends on the card they give you. I have a Juniper VIP card with 6.99%, no annual fee and a 8500 cl. I also have a hooters MC with 8.9%, no fee and 10,000 CL. I consider them both prime cards. I have a Citi card with No fee and 8300 cl thats good also. I will never do business with Chase again, they may issue prime cards, but they are a subprime company. Its all in your prespective.
  9. It is also a type of bikini wax. It typical removes more hair than a regular bikini wax but less than a Brazilian wax.
  10. If they are correct tradlines, out side of a good will letter or just plain luck when diputing, there is not much that can be done.
  11. I havent gotten that letter. but I pay it in full every month.
  12. My father died of Pancreatic cancer. 6 weeks after it was discovered. At the 5 week mark you wouldnt have known anything was wrong with him except some weight loss. different story at 2 weeks before he passed. It can move very very fast.
  13. Each report is different...... sometimes one person can get a judgment deleted and raise the score 100points.... and the next person it will only change it by 20 points. There is a 2nd part of repair... adding positive, open tradelines. And then there is the tough one, the 3rd part of repair. Time. thats where I am. I have gotten anything I can get cleaned up off. the rest look like they are going to stick. Now I just have to stay current and let time take over. I have been current and have unpaids for 3 years.
