  1. "Second, cards that have been inactive for even a couple of months are often not factored into credit scoring algorithms, even if they still appear on your credit report" Interesting...
  2. Pre CB: 7,500 with 80% utilization Now: 349K with 2% utilization
  3. 6/14/2016: CLI $4,500--> $9,400 ( +5,000) 08/05/2016: CLI $9,400--> $10,900 (+1,500), after getting 2 day message. 08/25/2016: Denied. 09/13/2016: CLI $10,900 --> $12,400 (+1,500), after getting 2 day message. My card was opened on September 2015, so 7K increase within a year.
  4. Congrats! Mine arrived 2 days after it was approved. It's plastic , but they said I will get the metal version later on, also they activated my PP card.
  5. Interesting, I have 68K UR points on my Ink account. I can transfer this to C$R and get a better value?
  6. Congrats on the approval! I'm in the DC metro area too. Never considered mega bus to NYC. We always drive. Gas in the wife's car is pretty cheap. Parking probably costs us a bit, but I have some control issues. Not having a say in when we leave to come home, things like that bug me. But $30 is a pretty tempting price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I don't mind the drive, its the parking that gave me the head ache. 30USD plus a subway ticket (3 usd + 3usd) to get to Canal St. It was a pleasant trip, the bus got wi-fi so you are not bored at all.
  7. Congrats. Mine was 26/24. I've got a theory I was targeted for pre-approval due to my already having at least 1 Chase card and AmEx Platinum. May I ask if you hold any other of the elite cards - Citi Prestige, Ritz, Fairmont, or AmEx Platinum or Black? Thank you. No, I don't have those cards, this is my first elite cards, never paid 450 AF card before. Also, I never got pre-approved On-Line every time I tried (even though I have opt-in), so was very surprised when pre-approved at the branch.
  8. Made the trip to NYC, Mega Bus for 30 USD round trip. The Bus stop at 7th Ave and 27th Street, saw a Chase Branch near there but decided to go to China Town. Ask for pre-approval, was pre-approved! the banker apply and was automatically approved for 27K! Just checked on-line and the account is there. I'm 17/24 and was just approved for a second AA (50K AA) card 2 weeks ago. Not only is it amazing you got the card at 17/24 but $30 round trip to NYC?! That is cheap! Where do you live?? Also, great news on the approval! Thank you. DC area. I booked the Mega Bus 2 weeks in advance.
  9. CRA: EX, EQ FICO: EX 761, EQ 744 UTIL: 4% Over 5/24: 17/24 Chase Banking: No, just credit cards (Ink Plus, Freedom, Hyatt) Chase P Client: No Outcome: pre approved branch 27k

  11. The one on Main Street in Flushing. Thank you, will include this in my research. I saw a review in Google that the one in Canal St is so anxious to offer credit cards, maybe I should go there. You're going to NYC just to get this card?? pretty much.
  12. I am 17/24 and from the data points this few days it looks like the only chance to get this card is to go to Chase Branch and check whether I am per-approved. But there are no chase bank in DC/VA area, so I am planning a trip to NYC in two weeks. Just need to know which branch gives you more chance.
  13. I wouldn't call it free, since the 2.5% fee> rewards earned, but yes you can probably reduce your fee to $0 or earn if you make wise use of the freed up funds. Yes, you are right. The Simply Cash only covers 2% so I still pay 0.5 % for the fee. I did however manage to open a few checking accounts that requires funds 2k-2,5k for about 6 months and gives you a bonus for 200-300 USD.
