  1. Then it's indifference, which is fine. Just because you can't tell doesn't mean no one can. Plus, you asked and I was just answering, and the emoji I chose normally conveys some element of good nature, for clarity, when there is room for interpretation. PS: The woman that was sitting across from me here at the airport when I typed that was using an iPhone of the same generation as mine.
  2. I'm more familiar with iPhones, but if you can't tell the difference between a 4 and an 8 and a 12 Max Pro it's either complete indifference (which is fair, I'm not a phone aficionado either, but the generation is still pretty obvious to me), or you should have your eyes checked. My current XR is vintage 2018, and it doesn't have eleven(?) spooky eyes on the back like the new ones do. Not as familiar with the Samsungs, but for some time the folding screens were a dead giveaway that you weren't looking at a Jitterbug that Grandma picked up at Radio Shack.
  3. My only thought has been that it's to differentiate between a card number that was keyed into a merchant web site by me (vs. paying for the purchase with the card via a mobile wallet like Apple Pay). That logic seems flimsy to me, though. And I hate the term "mobile wallet," but that's another matter.
  4. if the dog has diarrhea? An old bread bag isn't going to be up to the task.
  5. Some of this makes perfect sense, especially for emergency services. It also makes no sense for a provider in the possession of someone's insurance information not to provide a written cost estimate prior to performing non-emergency services, and it would make sense to require insurance information at the time the appointment is made to ensure that this happens. My dentist gives me a written cost estimate and breaks out my portion prior to performing services. This would substantially solve the "surprise billing" problem for non-emergencies. Some of the rest of this.... yeesh, especially for people in rural / outlying areas where there my be no network specialist for what they need, so various specialists travel to a local clinic or hospital a few times a month. These rules will reduce the incentive for providing this type of care in places where there are no other options. Also, I didn't read what constitutes "emergency services," but in Southern California people pour into emergency rooms to get care for sore throats, fevers, etc. And they also know that to avoid the hours-long wait, all they have to do is say "chest pain," and that moves them to the front of the line. A few years ago I picked someone up from an emergency room in San Diego and the waiting room was teeming with people filling out Medi-Cal applications on phones that were newer and nicer than mine.
  6. What does "manually entered" signify? I'm picturing someone at a merchant payment terminal eyeballing my card and punching in one card number at a time with an index finger. This is for a recent Hertz rental that I booked through Priceline. This was at a small Hertz airport location where everyone has to go the counter to get the contract / keys, but the guy only glanced at my DL and credit card to make sure it matched what was on my reservation. This is a card I use routinely for car rentals, and it's stored in my Hertz profile. This is on my US Bank Altitude Reserve, but I'm seeing this illogical notation (for the situation) on cards from other issuers also. This may have been happening forever and I just started to notice.
  7. I was just wondering how much cash was sitting in one of my Merrill accounts. Server Error in '/PostLogin' Application. Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine. Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off". Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.
  8. I just put a dent in mine and picked up ~$800 from Citi. FICO 8 is down to 841 on Experience.
  9. I'm getting this: The Dispute Center is temporarily down for scheduled maintenance. Please try again after 06:15 AM ET
  10. Start (politely) escalating at the CU and see if you can find someone more receptive. You may have been talking to the person or department who is responsible for ensuring accurate credit reporting. Regardless, you are looking for someone with the authority to make a policy exception. Don't give up on the first or second or third "no." If you run out of people to talk to, look at the trade line and try to find errors. Even if you can't, as a last resort you could attempt one or more disputes with the credit bureaus. They may not respond to the credit bureau. There is no guarantee that any of this will accomplish your objective, but the only way failure is certain is if you don't try. Good luck, I hate to read stories where such a trivial amount of money - personal liability aside - causes so much grief.
  11. Plus Marlboro Lights have gotten really expensive.
  12. 5 russet potatoes and 3 yellow onions in an Amazon shipping box.
  13. Camaro LT1 has also been a bright spot in leasing. Talk about stigma.
  14. Yeah, this whole thing definitely looks like the handiwork of a random group of people who draw smiley faces on disposable coffee cups all day. s https://workersunitedupstate.org/ https://www.nlrb.gov/case/03-CA-285671
  15. the bank states are among the perks for Diamond level customers
  16. I got my booster yesterday and there was an ALDI practically right next door, so I ducked in on my way home. Also $3.49 a pound, but I decided it was worth $15.60 to stop the questions about when we're having chicken wings. Side note, ALDI needs to recalibrate their defeatherer.
  17. I do not believe for two seconds that this was organized by a previously-unaffiliated group of strangers who just happened to walk into the same location to fill out a job application, and then over time became disillusioned with "poor working conditions." This was calculated.
  18. Final Stimulus Check Of 2021 Coming Out Next Week I was vaguely aware that these were going out every month since July.
  19. These are two completely different things.
  20. FYI @Burgerwars in case you're still going to Panera to squeeze one off.
  21. Do you have your mortgage FICOs for both you and your daughter? That's the first place to start to know where you both currently are. Here is some further info to get you started. You might want to start by getting copies of your credit reports directly from the bureaus and see what's actually reporting before spending money on score$.
