  1. Have a delinquency from medical that 1st delinquency was in 08/2009. The date reported is 12/2013. From my understanding, my state of Florida SOL is at max, 6 years for medical collections. I know this means I'm not longer liable for the debt and can remain on my CR for up to 7 years. My question is if the CA is allowed to add it to my CR after the SOL is reached. I could see it staying on my CR (or working to remove) If it had been added prior to the SOL, but after I'm not so sure about. Thanks in advance.
  2. This is such a relative question. There are many different cards out there and one one of them fits your business needs and benefits more than another. To determine which card is best depends on what your business does, how and what types of transactions you charge to a card and the benefits that are best with respect to payment terms, limit, cashback, points, skymiles, business credit building etc.
  3. If you want to pull a Lexis Nexis consumer report, do they do either a soft pull or hard pull on applicants personal credit file/report?
  4. If you request your file at Chexsystems, do they do a softpull or hardpull on credit?
  5. Why Chat, Thanks so much for responding. I'm 100% on board with following your recommendation. Just want to make sure I'm ok to stop where I'm at and proceed with your HIPAA process given that I've tried removing other method. Thank you in advance.
  6. Send that on to the CRA's - if there is nothing due, and no payments have been made, it's bogus reporting - Accuse the CRA of not performing a reinvestigation, since the CA states that nothing is due. Collection accounts that have been closed and returned to the Original creditor must be deleted. If you have any letters from the OC stating that they can't find your account and you owe nothing, send that thru too. I want to make sure I'm understanding this itemized bill correctly. It has two items for services and a billed amount but directly under each item there is a line that the description says "collection bad debt" and then reflects a positive amount identical to the negative charged item in a column that states "adjusted amount". The date for this "collection bad credit" lines is about one year after ER services itemized dates. The bill is from OC with a date of balance a few weeks ago so I know it's current and let's me know that my previous attempts from OC to get information that were fruitless are possible. Couldnt this bi be the charge off of the debt on the OC books? Regardless, it's failed DV as there is no information showing that CA owns the debt and regardless of the balance due of $0 reason, current information is showing nothing owed. Also the CA DV response invoice amount owed is different from what is reported to on my CR. CA is only reporting the amount for one ER service that accounts for 95% of the total service charged and not the smallest amount. CA DV response is asking for the sum of both. I suppose that's a minor discrepancy in my battle to remove and makes less irrelevant as I'm not just trying to get corrected.
  7. Date on the bill was 8/25/2009... Shows on CR as "potentially negative removed" and as unpaid
  8. Why chat, http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=509524&page=4 This is exactly the same CA and situation I'm in with exact same creditors. Almost word for word of the OP. I read all 4 pages. Is seemed that everything was removed for him at the same time BBB dispute was made. But he OP was also just on the verge of final stage too. Seeing his exact situation is mine, would you still recommend following your steps from the top?
  9. Just checked through last week's mail. The CA sent me an itemized bill, which says $0 balance due. Could they be anymore stupid to just see charges on bill and add them up without seeing the past due or current due balance of $0!
  10. In Florida I'm finding conflicting information if medical bills are 3 or 4 years SOL. Some say follows under oral time while others say contract. I'm sure ER made me sign something when I walked in but none the less, it wasn't clear cut and dry after searching. Also, I'm not sure I was just passed from one debt collector to the next. It was only between two companies. Both of which have the same office address and affiliate themselves with each other in some manner. I just dont see how both entities at the same time can put on CR in opposite CA names which have different legal business entities. They are registered with the BBC in their state and have had hundreds of complaints. About 75% of which end up resolved. Wonder if I have a 75% chance filing dispute there since it appears as if they proactivly try to resolve complaints on that front.
  11. 4 years ago had an emergency and went to hospital. Had $500 ER fee but forgot my insurance card so they put me in the system of owing them $500. I procrastinated filing paperwork and got stuck with the bill going to collections when I moved states (this was in FL) ..In anycase, the debt is mine. have been trying to repair last few years and negotiated all debts (thanks to this form). The original creditor has since been bought out and while they would surely take my $500 or negotiated rate, they do not have record of me owing them any money or that I even went to the ER. So basically I'm dealing with this scumbag collection agency now. Originally, few years back I sent CA DV letter. However, the address on negative CR item was incorrect. Letter was returned to me. Looking back, I'm positive they put this address on reports so all letters get rejected and you have to go find their address online. Because I was working on all my other items that had responded to DV letters, I didnt follow up with this one as much as I should have. CA has two names with same address and legal affiliation with each other. CA used one of their names to add on one of CRA and other one on another CRA. At same time I received undelivered letters to CA few years back, I disputed online with CRA and both they were removed. Months later, CA played hokie-pokey by ensuring that they made sure each of their company names filed one time with CRA on the collection. Kept disputing online since was frustrated with undelivered DV. Eventually all went away and seemed to stay off. 2 Years later, the CA added back the collection to CR. One mark on two CRA using one of each of their company names. Finally this time I looked around on the internet and found several addresses for their company. I sent DV letters to 4 locations and duplicated the DV letters in both of their company names. One of the addresses worked and a successful copy for each company name they filed with was delivered and signed for return receipt certified. In between this period, I disputed online for no knowledge of collection, since first delinquency date was current over 3 years off. Got items removed from two CRA. They they played the hookie-pokey again resubmitting the collection with different company name on different CRA. Received no response with DV letter. It's been 36 days. Now, I get a new update on 2/3 CRA that show the collection as an "Account" right beside my credit cards and read "Potentially Negative Closed" with all of the information about the collection wrong or missing. I'm pissed. The two CRA that they attached this "Potentially Negative Closed" on, the CRA didnt even have a collection on the report when this was attached. For some reason, it seems that this is the wrong place for this collection to be on my credit report for medical from CA. I'm positive that these scumbags have broken the law somewhere here or at least have legal rights for removal based on the following: Incorrect address on CR. Years back and recent addresses were all the same. Couldn't be one time thing or mistake Adding by multiple of their internal company names at one time. How can "two different" CA own one account. Adding and marking CR as "potentially negative closed" after 10 days having received DV letter on CRA where the collection didnt show up. My report went from 723 to 589 just like that with this one item. Before when they just added it as an late/unpaid collection, score only went down moderately and back up after removed. This is the first time I've had someone on my report as "potentially negative removed" I'm sure I messed up here somewhere in handling this one account the best way.... but I'm unsure of how to move forward. I want to go for their jugular if they've violated any laws. Pride might get me, but getting this removed ONLY is simply not an option now. I want their head! lol Sorry this is a long rant ....i got worked up any help on where to go from here or something they might have done illegally I would GREATLY appreciate it.
