  1. Hello, Not too long ago, I called all three CAs asking to remove 2 old addresses and they literally refused indicating that I have a BK and foreclosure associated with one of the addresses. A week later, I sent a certified mail to the CAs requesting to remove 2 old addresses. I didn't expect EX to do it so i completely forgot about it. Guess what? I noticed a couple of days ago that those addresses have been deleted... If you like I can send you the template I used. Hope Hello, Sorry if I sound stupid but all three have my 2 or three old addresses and none of the baddies are associated with my current address. My question is how do you get them delete the old addresses? Any help will be greatly apperciated. Hope
  2. Hoping for a response Hello, I know this is an old thread but I have similar issue so I am just hoping that some one will take a look and provide some insight. I file BK 13 back in 2009 to save my primary home, however, my home was foreclosed in 2010 and my BK was amended to reflect. AT that point I tried to see if i can qualify for BK 7 to wipe out my debts and start fresh but my lawyer said it was not possible. I think he said my income was over the limit (probably by 100s of dollars). I hate to make a statement like this but he almost sounded like he was working against me. So I continued to make my payments to the trustee at 70% for the past 3 years. This past Friday I went to my lawyers office to surrender the little tax refund that I was getting to the Trustee and my lawyer said I have some news and handed me a letter from a law office indicating that they are planning to file motion to convert or dismiss my BK 13 since the junior lien was not included in my BK. My lawyer said I might qualify for BK 7 now that I am married. However, after 2 years of rebuilding my life after the BK and the FC filing chapter 7 at this point is the last thing I want to do. I spoke to an attorney that I know through a friend and he flat out said the attorney screwed my case. My lawyer said he would contact the lender's attorney on Monday since it was Friday afternoon and people may not be available. To my surprise he had received the letter 4 days prior to office visit and I was not contacted at all. The attorney I spoke to told me to not say anything and wait for his response and to also not contact other attorneys until I hear what he has to say. I live in VA and not sure what the law here is in regards to what I being sued for and I would apperciate it if any one can give me any advice on what to expect and etc. Thanks, Hope

  4. Mayor, I am not sure if I understand your comment but no home owner goes to foreclosure with an intent to create a loss for the lenders. No one does. If your property is not worth keeping financially, you let go. WHy throw good money after bad investiment. You also have a loss when your have your property is forclosed although the degree varies depending on the situation, who care if these greedy lenders lose some money. They lose big time and may not be able to pay out big bonuses they aforded to pay during the real estate buble. And we are so glad!! Hope
  5. Congrats, poo. Hello, I am new to this board and very excited with a hope that I finally found the kind of resource that would help me bounce back. I have about 7 neg accounts on my credit report, a 13 BK and on my 34th month, and foreclosure in 2010. All neg accounts are paid in full and all but one paid to the OC. I disputed and got two deleted. Verizon is one of the stubborn one although it was paid in full back in 2008. My FICO is currently TU 620, Equi 599 but I was not able to get EXP. I have a 2K Secured CC from Wells Fargo and I also saw this USA Credit with $7500 CL that I have forgotten I had until I pulled my TU CR. I would like to increase my score and by increasing my available credit but I am afraid of being denied by credit status and affect my score adversely. Any recommendation? I shop at Nordstrom and use my debit card, will that help? Wallmart, Target ? I would apperciate any help. Hopefull:) i was right there with you i had a bk in 2004 cleaned up had a foreclosure end 5/11 and a recently PIF charge off went from 740 to 490 kept the 2 cap ones in check and the 2 orchards.. not even a year later after a few disputes im a 711 in 11 months from a 490.. have 20k in cards n lines from NFCU 3k at USAA 2 brand new cars at 1.9% thru ally and about 30k in visas from credit unions.. sittin on 12 retail cards and the score just keeps goin up there is hope VERY soon after a disaster. WOW!!! Thanks for your response. This is very encouraging I have verbal promise from Verizon, a medical CA, 2 other debitors to get items deleted from my credit report after quite a few disputes and goodwill adjustment request letters but I will have to wait and see. Any chance in getting a foreclosure deleted? Do you think if I contact the lender they will come after me claiming they incured a loss? Thanks, Hopeful Hello, I just checked my credit score with usaa credit monitoring and the scores are now: EQ 685, EX 685 and TU 664. And there is one a collection Item showing $788 balance that will be coming off in the next two weeks since the OC admitted that it was inaccurate and the CA withdrew the record. Thanks to this board!! I have learned a lot!! Late February my scores ranged from 574 - 580. I am panning to apply for non-secured credit card in the next month or so:) Thanks, Hope
  6. Hello all, I included the paragraph below in multiple dispute letters to the CRA one for each negative accounts on my file. Equifax sent me today one general response below. I stated: "If the investigation results in not removing this item, I respectfully request for the description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the item in question to be provided to me within 15 days of the completion of your re-investigation as required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. " Response: In reference to your question regarding the investigation process: Upon receipt of your dispute, we first review and consider any relevant information you submitted regarding the nature of your dispute. Often, Equifax will then transmit your dispute to the furnishers of the information (i.e. the bank) for review and investigation. Equifax electronically sends a notification of your dispute, including a summary of relevant information submitted to the disputed information and reports the results back to us electronically. In case of a public record, Equifax seeks the most recent filing associated with the disputed information. The information is often obtained from a medium (ie. paper records computer database) prescribed by the source of the information (i.e. courthouse, or other government entity). Equifax may use a business vendor to obtain the most recent filing from the public record source. As appropriate, Equifax then makes deletions or changes to your credit file. The name and address and if reasonably available, the telephone number of the furnishers of the information contacted while processing your disputes is shown under "The results of your investigation" section on the cover letter that accompanies the copy of your revised credit file. My understanding was that they would provide detailed information for each dispute not a general one letter for all disputes. Please let me know what your thoughts are and advise me if i should send a follow-up letter. Thanks in advance. Hope
  7. Thank you for your response. I will contact the OC again and see if they would make the change. Hope
  8. Hello all, I had a creit card account with $2100 balance from Columbia Bank and Trust that was charged off back in 2007 while I was overseas. However, in 2008 I paid the balance in full to a CA. Now, I have two negative items ( one as a charge off and the other as colletion paid in full) on my credit report. Having two negative items for one default, it makes me feel that it's double jepordy. The CA sent me a lettor indicating they are the original creditors. I disputed with the CRA, contacted the both compained that claim they are the original creditors but they wouldnt remove the items from my credit report. Does any one know if there is any FTC regulation or any law that I could use to get these freak'n stuff removed? I saw this response on one forum. http://www.allexperts.com/el/Collections-Law/ Thanks in advance for the any advices. Hope

  11. Hello, I am not very knowledgable since i Just started working on my credit situation but from advices that I have seen so far, I don't think you should sent BK documents to the credit reporting agencies. Please ask for additional advices befoe doing so. Regards, Hope
  12. Hello, I have prepared dispute letters to send to Trans Union for each negative account on my credit report. Most of them are paid collections and still showing balances. Some are included in BK 13 and the creditors failed to file with the trustee but the status shows as included in bankruptcy and "Wage Earner" although they have not filed therefore are not being paid by the trustee. My question is, should I dispute all at once with separate letters or dispute few at a time? I'm planning to send the letters certified tomorrow. Advice will be greatly appreciated. Hope
  13. Hello, Sorry if I sound stupid but all three have my 2 or three old addresses and none of the baddies are associated with my current address. My question is how do you get them delete the old addresses? Any help will be greatly apperciated. Hope
