  1. So do you think when it comes back after the dispute the score will go back up ?
  2. Hello Everyone , I have worked on getting my CR cleaned up and paid off some old bills in the last year so that we can purchase our first home this spring . So I pulled my Fico score ( I also picked up score watch ) and was pleased to see ( as low as it is pretty happy of the improvement ) a 659 on myfico , so I also pulled my CR from EQ and noticed that 4 TL's that I had paid off were still showing a balance . I started a dispute on the balances that were incorrect on the report and within two days I got an email from score watch that my score just dropped 50 points ! Now at a 609 anyone have an Idea what is going on ?

    Chase

Hello all again , OK sorry for a new post from my Dell posting but I wanted to keep these topics separate at avoid confusion , I have one last bill on my CR which is a Chase from a few years ago and Frederick J Hanna & Associates owns this one , I had sent them a validation letter out on Dec 15th 2011 and a follow up Jan 2012 with no reply and still shows on the CR so I call Chase this morning the lady on the phone with me could not find any account with Chase on my SS# and then she found me from my last name and proceeded to tell me Frederick Hanna still has this account . My question is how would I go by dealing with Hanna to get a lump sum payment and settle the account to clear the CR ? Should I call them or should I send an Email to them stating my intentions to pay this off in a lump sum payment The balance on the account is $3240.85 and I have been trying to clear the CR for our first home purchase this spring . Any help would be greatly appreciated and again Thank You in advance , Matt-
  5. Hello All, I finally have my Alienware bill paid off as of today it only took 3 years lol . My question to you all is I had 3 late payments 2 back in 2010 ,Nov 60 days, Dec 90 days ,and Jan 2011 60 days I had asked the lady from Dell if they can do a goodwill removal of the late payment months off my CR and I was told that she could not because they lock down the account after you are 60 days out ( I don't know if she knew what I was talking about with the goodwill ) . When I had called today I had a $22.69 balance on the account and for goodwill she waved the last of the payment of balance and Dell is going to mail me out a check for interest for some reason ( who am I to argue lol ) and I also received this from Dell in an email Thank you for contacting us about the above-referenced account. Below is a confirmation of the account changes/activities discussed today: We've waived your Finance Charge of 10.45. This adjustment will appear on your next statement. We've waived your Finance Charge of 9.37. This adjustment will appear on your next statement. We've waived your Finance Charge of 7.67. This adjustment will appear on your next statement. We've waived your Finance Charge of 6.44. This adjustment will appear on your next statement. We've waived your Finance Charge of 5.3. This adjustment will appear on your next statement. We've waived your Finance Charge of 3.12. This adjustment will appear on your next statement. Would this late matter on the CR to a mortgage lender if they see almost 2 years of on time payments that were way higher then the min due ? If it does affect the CR with the late how should I proceed with a GW letter I hear Dell is a tough nut to crack. Thanks in advance to those who can help , Matt-

  7. I just got back my Form 10916© from the IRS for the withdrawal today Now to send it out to the CRA's , Thanks Everyone again If you haven't done so already, try to include the document number it is filed with at your county clerk or recorder's office; that will help make sure they actually look for it, rather than just ask Lexis-Nexis. FYI, TU will probably delete on their own IF you asked the IRS to send them a copy. Thanks SomeGuyInCA, I actually got a letter from the IRS with the letters stamped copy's that they sent to the CRA's , what should be my next course of action ? Wait 45 days and pull my report again ? Thanks, Matt-

  9. Asset had reported the collection to the CRA's what is my next step for action against them for not being licensed in the St of Connecticut ? Thanks everyone , Matt- I don't think you answered ICANHASMUNY's question: are you within SOL? How long since your last payment? For $7k, Asset will sue you if it can. How come they haven't? Check CT court records. And watch out for Lyme disease! Looks like they are past the SOL date an open ended account here in Ct is 3 years from last payment .

  14. Hello Everyone , This being my first post and having read through the tax lien which I must say is awesome from the amount if info everyone put forth to help each other out clearing the lien's up GOOD WORK EVERYONE I have a few questions about my lien , First off the lien is paid off 03/07/2012 and have received my Form 668(Z) The form has my personal lien as small business / self employed area 1 is this correct reporting by the IRS ? I have done the disputes online with the CRA's Transunion which showed no Lien on their report sent me a email this morning TransUnion noted a change to your credit report. and has now added the tax lien to their report and like I had said this is a paid off lien .The info Transunion has put on the their report for the lien shows it correct so I called the number to their report to the tax office that reported ,got a number that this number is no longer in service ,If transunion has verified this info as being correct who did they call ? I have filled out the Form 12277 and I am getting it ready to send out is it best to send to the CRA's also . Thank you everyone for all the posts you have all made the info has not only opened up my eyes to credit but also an understanding on how to deal with the CRA's Thanks a bunch , Matt-
