  1. Thank you all for the response, I know that mortgage companies pull all three and use the middle score but I was under the impression that they would be using the same model ex FICO 98 FICO 04 or FICO 8 I disint know that one pull would use a variety of different models like my post. There I was thinking that I had my fico scores in the range to qualify for a mortgage only to find out that my scores are much lower than I thought. I'm so frustrated.
  2. Hello all, For a few months now I've been trying to fix my credit to apply for a mortgage by paying down my balances and removing a recent 30 day late. I got the late rm over and most of my reduced balanc s are being reflected. I checked my FICO scores on both Myfico and CCT and just two days ago they were all in the mid 600's so I decided to contact a mortgage company and have them run my credit this morning and this is what I saw: 554 EQUIFAX/FICO CLASSIC V5 FACTA RANGE:334-818 634 TRANSUNION/ FICO CLASSIC 04 RANGE 309-839 566 EXPERIAN/ FAIR ISSAC (VER 2) RANGE 320-844 Nothing had changed from when I ran my own report days earlier, can someone explain to me why it appears that three different scoring models were used and why they all varied so significantly from the numbers I received. Also, does anyone know what model mortgage lenders primarily use?
  3. Thanks a lot for the break down, I guess I need to tackle the PenFed cards first since they are the only ones above 90%
  4. I did, that's how I was able to get the PenFed cards, but just yesterday they added it back, no clue why and they now have me with the consumer affairs department so I'm guessing I'll have a tough time getting it back off EQ was the only one that took the bankruptcy off.
  5. Highest amounts because u are paying more interest ok lol i thought u were referring to credit card issued by credit 1 bank they suck see link but u said this is for Firestone. https://www.creditonebank.com/ Oh no, I learned from here to stay far away from them. firestone was the first to grant me credit a few months out of bankruptcy, I just learned that it was credit 1 after pulling my report. Will paying the highest balance down first have the greatest impact on my FICO score or will paying the smaller ones off to have fewer accounts with balances have a greater impact? With the 8k cash I have, I will only be able to pay one of the higher cards
  6. Thanks tiggerlgh, I was thinking that, but I remember reading somewhere on here that with the FICO scoring model that might not be the best...I'm not sure. It definitely seemed easier to pay the smallest to have less cards with balances.
  7. Thanks big poppa. I already have two jobs, I did that when I felt the ship beginning to sink lol credit 1 is with firestone, I never use it but I needed tires the other day and decided to make use of it, I will definitely take ur advice on that one. The APRs are all pretty much the same so which should I tackle first, the highest or lowest amounts?
  8. Hello everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the holidays. I need some help. I am in desperate need of purchasing a home as soon as possible, I'll spare the details but I'm soon to be divorced with 5 kids under 18. I would rent, but the money that I will be spending to rent can be better used as a down payment. I am two years out of chap 7 and still working on clearing and rebuilding. I racked up some debt over the past few months and I have about 8k to knock some down. Please help me on what my best course of action will be to raise my FICO as quickly as possible. Should I spread it across the board, pay the smallest/largest first? MyFico scores are below. I have two baddies on EQ and TU that I'm working on. I appreciate any help you all can give. 9. My business does payments both via wire transfer and ACH and we've had several instances where the wrong number gets given to us, and that's from people wanting to receive money. I think it's an easy mistake for people and even companies to make. Ya it's simple, but I've seen a number of things that can cause it. As for all the people questioning how he could not notice, well, a lot of people don't balance the books every month! It's really not that hard. Anyhow, I totally feel for the OP, regardless of whether their carelessness caused it. Good luck OP! And if the first good will request doesn't work, try try again! +1
  10. Are they allowed to do a hard pull without my consent? And why was I transferred to the office of consumer affairs? I'm beginning to despise Equifax
  11. I am in the process of purchasing a home and I pulled a copy of my credit report and fico scores using credit check total. I noticed that Equifax had a few addresses on my report that didn't belong to me and a Verizon account in collection that also wasn't mine. I know that I should never do disputes on the phone or online but I figure this one would be simple...WRONG! I called and was transferred to office of consumer affairs, I didn't really ask why I just assumed they were giving me special treatment, again WRONG. I went thru the process of disputing the address and the collection account and was given a confirmation number, fast forward to today I checked creditKarma and see that not only did Equifax not remove the information disputed but they added a bankruptcy that was previously deleted (I filed 2013), they added two old addresses and they hit me with a hard inquiry from Equifax office of consumer affairs. I called today to find out why they inserted the precisely removed bankruptcy, incorrect addresses and a hard inquiry. I was told that "the bankruptcy was a matter of public record and they did some investigation and found that I did in fact file bankruptcy". When I asked about the addresses "I was told that sometime when disputing information it doesn't work to my advantage" and things that I don't want appears. Then finally when I asked about the hard inquiry, I was told "that my credit report was now being handled by the office of consumer affairs to protect my file..protect from who? And they authorized the HP, I asked them to remove it and I was told that they would not remove it but could not give an explanation why. I asked to speak with someone higher up and was told that there was no one higher up and if I had any issues I could write them a letter, she told me to have a nice day and hung up on me. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I'm baffled right now and stumped as to what to do next. Any suggestions? I accidentally posted this In the advanced questions group, mods please feel free to remove and place where you feel appropriate. Thanks Oh, did I add that they also remov d a positive TL.....😢

  13. Cv91915 what would your advice be on removing lates? I too have a few late payments on an account I would rather not dispute the TL but remove the lates. Since I have about 4 30's I don't think a GW would work for me either. I would appreciate any help you can offer
  14. Amex generally pull Experian, so I would work on clean up that one, if I were you![/quote Yeah I know, Experian has my lowest score :-( I'm working on it though
