  2. So after a few years of bad breaks and not the best decisions, I’m finally on the right track. I have banked with BofA for many years, I have direct deposit for my paycheck with them. After having no cards for many years, and my FICO slowly moving to mid 600’s I decided to apply for their reward cards. I was denied but offered a partially secured card for $99. I received the card and made a small purchase - $16 grocery store. I haven’t purchased anything else yet, I guess I was trying to make sure it really worked. What do I do next? I know there are theories about utilization and when to pay full balance. Any suggestions on how I should use the card to help me continue to raise my credit score. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thank you, I will call and order the reports!! Do you know if it will matter if I have a freeze on my credit or not? I feel like I may have frozen it a couple of years ago but I’m not sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Hi all, I am working on rebuilding my credit and after a series of unfortunate events, I am finally in a better place than I was a few years ago. Using CK I have watched my score (I know it’s not an actual score) rise slowly due to almost a year of on time car payments. The only item currently showing up there are the car payments. Nothing else is listed for debt or credit cards. I don’t have a cc and I’m hoping that old medical and old credit card debts have fallen off by now. This brings me to my question - should I go ahead and either join myfico.com or order my credit scores from the three agencies? I remember a term that was used to be on the boards years ago called “waking the sleeping giant or beast” something like that. I guess what I’m saying is I’m afraid to stir things up that have been laying dormant. Would just ordering my reports wake up any debt and restart a collection process? I want to move forward but I’m paralyzed with fear. Respectful responses will be greatly appreciated! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
