  1. tjx is 10k(medium CL), and is mastercard, i can use it anywhere, but the rewards $10 for 1k spent is not good, so i use it maybe twice a year. In 5 years i spent in total 1.1K.  on Lowes CC i think i spent over 50k in 5 years. On those Suckrony CC it's easy to have a nice CL(they do soft pull for CLI) that will show good in your CR, than having 5 CC with 1k CL.

i understand it's their money and their decisions, and they can do whatever they want, but i want to have a good standing history and without surprises like this. And i can choose the bank i work with. It's not going to be a big dent on my history or score and i am not taking it personally, it's just business.

  2. Well, they had good deals on 0apr for 12-24-36mo,  or 5%discount. But, i guess Lowes like to lose a customer, and the bank too. That's fine for me. Saving more money and then spend it at Home Depot and friends :)

loosing 30k on my total CLs will affect my Credit Score, but not much i hope(my debts  % will go up few points).

Also, i was planning to do a mortgage refinance next month, i think the bank will ask about those CC closing.

  3. No red flags, all green and no changes in last months, except the Fry's CC (10yrs old)was closed few weeks ago, but that was because Fry's stores were all closed in February.

i have a tjx CC(5yrs old) and not used for 10 months now, still open.  i am thinking to close it, too, and say bye bye to Syncrony.

  4. i just login in my CC account online and noticed this red line:

This account has been closed. No further purchases will be allowed. Continue to make payments until your balance is paid in full.
I called CR, asked for details, why...  A: Yes, the CC is closed, we can't tell why... but you can apply for another 1 after 6mo.
i have it for like 5 years, paid on time, no activity in the last 3 months. CL:30k and i was pretty proud about it(it was top 3 on CL and its 14 % of my total CLs).
Is there anything i can do to get it back ?
  5. last time I tried a CLI on BofA was 4 years ago and I was denied, then after few months I got a message from them that I qualify for a CLI and I got 2k.

1 year later I combined the CL to 10k, 9k and 1k (on the oldest).

Last month I used balance transfer (0 apr for 12 mo) on both big CC. my credit score dropped to 640 from 790.

Should I try a CLI ? I don't want a HP on my credit. I am planning to get a mortgage this time next year.

Also all my credit reports are frozen and have a fraud alert until October 2020,  so they should not be able to get a HP, unless they talk with me.

  6. i have a chase freedom for 2 years old and chase slate for 14 months old.

i applyed for chase freedom unlimited and for chase aarp i got the same denial reason: "too many requests for credit or opened with us"

i called customer support, and they said that's nothing they can do. i told them that all the inquiries are 14+ months old, and i have very good history, good credit score... but nothing.. there is nothing they can do at the custumer support line.

i tried to find the recon number for those 2 CC, but i was not lucky.

    whats the recon no, please?

i got a denied letter with a ref. no from Equifax, but no credit score. few days later my oldest CC from chase got an Auto Limit Increase of 2k $. also in the same day i applied for another 2 CC and they pulled TU report.

should i try a recon ? what do i have to loose ?

  7. there is no good or bad CU. they all pursuit the same thing: to make money.

check you state credit unions list, then go to talk with a personal banker.

if you ask me... there is something fishy in your business. you double your money with every shipment, and now you cant pay for another shipment( when you should have money for at least 4 containers). you should focus more on your cash flow.

  8. well having a small credit score number, the dealer will work with you, but forget about that 5% apr.. you will get a 20+% apr. the "dealer" will work with you to get a 400$ a month ...or something you like for monthly payment. the apr will be huge. and you may not qualify unless you put a big downpayment and have a good income.

my advise is to go to a credit union. they will work better than the dealer.

  9. well, i would advise you to wait at least 12 months. you have great score, let it age. you have few cc and a car loan ... but you are yours. you are AU. its counts... but not the age of the card.

you should be happy you started your history without AF and secured CC. if you don't add at least 2-3 years of clean history (pay on time), then stop dreaming about rewards. you will not get any of them even if your credit score will be 850.

  10. thank you very much for your feedback.

i usually wait like 12 months, before i try to apply for new ones and then CLI.

i think i can wait until the end of september to do the move with CLI.

-for amex you can ask a CLI every 6 mo. i tryed first time after 2 years(from 8k to 11k), then denial at least 3 times ... but no hard inq. except last year in august.

-for BofA: should i ask all 3 CC at once for a CLI ? or just 1 ? also i am thinking to combine the limits on one CC, but i am afraid i might damage the Credit score/ history.

    - barklay, citi, have small limits and almost 1 year history ... so i dont plan to ask for a CLI

    - chase: freedom 5,5k intial limit. 23 months old, slate 11 months ... i am thinking to apply for freedom unlimited / then try a CLI on both..

    - cap1 (1% rewards)- is 4 years old. 6k $ , i tryed after 2 years for a CLI , denied for not using enough (balance ~15-20% of CL) they pulled all 3 CR. i dont plan to ask anymore :)

    - with discover it works every 2-3-6 months with soft pull, i have no complains, but i wish to read about all the CC like i read about the CLI on discover ;)

this is not an action that i am planing to do it right away. i am just need some feedback on how i should handle the CLI to be successfully and large from the users who have a longer history and experience with CLI and try to avoid any mistakes they may did in the past.

  11. well... there are 2 ways to increase my total CC limits. new CC or CLI. i wasnt that lucky with CLI in the past, but i am thinking to try to open few CC and try to increase some limits. but ... i dont want to put some HP on my reports just to get a 10 day letter response. i dont have good experience on how to successfully get a pretty CLI on my CC. So any advice or tips from personal experience are wellcome.

ps. when the "new accounts" became old ?

pps. if citi offered me a very small limit, i dont even think to try a CLI. but 1 amex / chase / bofa / maybe cap1 worth a shot.

  12. 1. yep. limits are reported on both discovers CC.

    2. yep. i use both amex every month 30-50$ statements.

    3. 2 of my bofa CC have 11 months. the old 1 has 4 years. asked for a CLI in august 15

    4. its hard to say, i opened 6 CC on august 2015 + auto loan and another 3 CC in october 2014. i have like 12-14 HP on each credit reports, the newest ones are from august 2015.

    5. the reasons i would like to close the store CC(best buy/ frys/ kohls) are: a very low limit and no possibility to increase it. BB told me i dont use the CC enough(i had a 500$ tablet with 6 mo. 0apr) frys told me they dont do CLI, bt i can apply for a new CC/ kohls deny for high balances (i never spend more than 10% of CL, and i never had a balance higher than 5% of total CL). i dont know the effect on the score or history, but guess it would not harm a lot.

  13. average CL is ~5k $

    discover 29k$ and 16k $ (and growing)

    amex 11k$ and 8k $

    bofa - 7k, 6k and 0,5K$ (the oldest)

    cap1 6k $

    chase 5,5K freedom slate 2k

    barcklays 3k$ / citi 1,5$ / WF 1,8K $

    lowes CC - 20k

best buy/ target/frys / macys/ kohls 500$-800$ (i am thinking to close those, those are pretty useless for me now.)

  14. well i guess you got this awesome deal because you are an old honda customer. it helped more than the credit score and income.

most dealers replied me:" its your first car! that's a good deal 15% apr !!! its less than 500$ a month!! " :)))
