  1. They are masters at keeping a straight face while explaining that their screw-up is really all your fault. It gets better. A few years later I took out a mortgage through WF. Paid the first month in advance and set up the automatic payment thing. They pulled the payments every month like clockwork. A few months after closing I started getting rather nasty collections calls from WF, threatening to foreclose on my home. They claimed I, apparently a flaming deadbeat, hadn't made a payment on the mortgage. Ever. After some digging it turned out they had been applying my payments as "additional principle" instead of regular monthly loan payments. So I'm on the phone with one of their rude collectors, who is explaining to me that even though he can see I'm paid one month ahead, their system says I am three months behind. Would I like to make a payment, or do they proceed with whatever they threaten to proceed with. Yes, we can see your payments, and it's our error. No, we can't stop the collections calls until we fix the error. Sorry for the inconvenience. Would you like to do a check by phone? Repeat over and over and over and over.... salamanders. The people who could see the problem couldn't fix it. The ones who could fix it never return phone calls. When I finally got a live human who could fix it they just vanish <poof>....have to start all over with the next person. Took a month. I refinanced away from them a few months later. They are absolutely nuts over there. Sounds like BOfA! It is MADDENING when things go liek this. believe me, I been there. ohhhh, I been there and yeah they take themselves THAT serious. I agree.. the only remedy is to go elsewhere
  2. I use not condoms for I have not sex. I have CB.. and that is all i need.
  3. Yep, WF charges $2 for certain phone calls. Guess what happens when you call back to complain about that fee? $4 lesson learned. Seriously?! Mmm Hmm. I cashed my paycheck at WF, stuffed a couple bills in my pocket and handed the rest back to the teller to deposit in my checking account. Teller screwed up and coded the cash deposit with a hold. Next day I had bounced transactions. I asked about refunding the fees, showing them my deposit slip. Teller says "we can't do that, you have a history of overdrafts". I asked when on earth I had overdrafts, since I previously had none. She says:.....<drum roll>... "Yesterday". To make a long and frustrating story short, teller says to call the 800# to ask about a refund. I called. They said no. And charged me $2 for the call. I called back to complain about the $2 charge. That cost me another $2. Can't win with WF. You just can't. Yep, WF charges $2 for certain phone calls. Guess what happens when you call back to complain about that fee? $4 lesson learned. I don't even know how to describe it. 1, how their system even ALLOWS a teller or banker to put a hold on cash is beyond me. 2, how they used the excuse of "history of overdrafts" because of something they caused, and actually kept a straight face, is also beyond me. 3, how they CHARGE for a customer to call them is also beyond me. I guess this is one (or three) reasons why I refuse to have my checking/savings accounts with Wells, lol. Ouch!!
  4. Yep, it's the latest money grab by the phone folks... the mandatory data plan. It makes no sense. Shut down the data if the person doesn't want it. Forcing people to use it is extremely stupid. VZ doesn't let you activate/switch ESNs online? No, but even if they did, they'd add on the data plan eventually. They ping the ESNs and see who has what, and will add on the data plan within a billing cycle or two. The joys of cellular companies lately. As if they didn't already take enough money. Im tellin ya.. Virgin Mobile doesnt do stuff like that!
  5. Chocolate. Hoard it while you can! That cake DOES look kinda good.
  6. I would also like to ask everyone to wish me luck at KMart. Thanks!
  7. Do we really want to go there, Joseph? Look I'll be honest, I have nothing against you. But I do find the constant posting a little weird, k? K... I'm sure you are a nice guy but you should probably tone it down a bit. Now, since Stryker has asked that we not derail his thread, I'm going to honor his request. I STILL feel Used in a social way. Now that you and Giraffy are coming out to play. Just PMd Stryker. I think that was pretty low. As you all party...
