    Disputing Inquiries

Unfortunately, it looks like most of these aren't coded as auto inquiries. I'm going to talk to the dealership, but if they're unable to do anything I'm going to raise hell. Edit: Is disputing inquiries on EXP still... impossible?

    Disputing Inquiries

Hi everyone, Long time no see. I've recently gotten my scores into the 780s, and was approved for a used auto loan at 2.49% with PSECU today. However, at the dealership, I specifically stated I wanted to secure my own financing and I pulled my reports today and found nine new credit inquiries I didn't authorize. What's the best way to go about getting these removed? Should I scream at the dealership, dispute directly with the CRAs, or dispute with the banks that pulled the inquiries? I'm really not excited about nine new hards I didn't authorize... and four are on EXP. Any advice would be appreciated.

*BETA* Automatic INQ Counter for EQ and TU

Thanks for taking the time to improve on my EQ counter and develop the TU counter. I was meaning to get around to it, but looks like I can take this off the 'some day' todo list.

ELFcu really isn't worth all the hype!

Wow, that means I have a horrible FICO right now. Will be interested to see what happens when my AAOA evens out and my utilization is at 5% (70% currently)!

    AmEx Charge Reported Balance

Yes. You can always pay before the statement date to report a $0 balance.

    ELFCU** New topic***

After pleading my case to the ELF court, I was approved for a $5k consolidation loan at 13%. Weird this is, they said my FICO is 609 when PSECU/Myfico/WalMart says 650-672. The rate could be better, but once my balances update I'll get a huge FICO boost and refinance it later

ELFcu really isn't worth all the hype!

I got a call from an (actual) underwriter today, not an "Account executive" and explained that I'm not self employed, 99% of my income comes froms a salaried job, and showed him how to look up the owners of a corporation online. He said he's 99% sure he can finalize the approval, but we'll see for sure on Monday. Really hoping this is worth the time/effort.

Indeed. At least they pull EQ. B* to the rescue. I politely thanked Nancy for wasting my time, but I don't think I've ever been more pissed at a denial. I'll collect my interest for the year and tell them to ELF off. What irritates me the most is they offered me the loan, and then treated me like some money launderer (BobWang!) when it came time to finalize everything.

Yeah, I'm done with ELF. Jamie's nice and all, but their underwriters are crazy. I sent in all of the documentation I mentioned above, wasted two hours on the phone with them, and they declined my application because they think I'm self-employed. My office and my house are on the same street, and apparently the underwriter found that 'suspicious.' I have no ownership in the company I work for. Guess I'll park my $1,000 there until their rates drop.

Tomorrow is judgement day for ELFcu. Jamie told me I was pre-qualified for a consolidation loan, but the underwriter's requests so far make me think otherwise. At first, I just needed to provide my most recent paystub. Today I received a call today requesting 2010 and 2011 W-2s, my last four paystubs, and a copy of my schedule K-1 for my small consulting business. 99% of my income isn't from self-employment. Hopefully digging all of those documents out of the filing cabinet was worth it! The joys of being young with borderline credit and a decent income.
  13. When I spoke with Jamie today, she asked if I found out about them through Creditboards, so I think the cat's out of the bag. That being said... she seemed pretty excited about all of the new members.
