  1. how did it affect your scores?? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  2. I just applied for a Barclays and got the 10 day message. I was just approved for 2 capital one cards and tried for the Barclays also. Can someone post the number for recon or underwriting or a number for me to call and discuss this.
  3. Yikes this thread is going sideways. Sorry Joe. Cap One seems to be the most forgiving with credit flaws. It may be possible to find another company to get another card from but if you wait 6 months for these 2 to age you will surely be in a better position to be more choosy. And that will give you time to work on any negatives as well. Whatever you do.... don't get Credit One or First Premier. Kat gave you good advice in this thread. And Khanrad usually has really strong sound advice to follow as well.... Capital One is just anathema to him. Thanks for the input. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  4. Request a CLI online, the day after your 3rd statement. Cap One likes heavy usage, and PIF before the statement cuts. Make sure all credit cards, report with a $0 balance, except 1 card with a balance of $3. If you have more questions, please refer to the thread, linked above. Thanks edit to add - Congrats, on the approvals! Thanks for the info Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk Thanks I appreciate all the help this site has given myself and others. 5. OK I tried the 2 card trick and was approved for two cards both with a 300 limit Not much but I am starting out with credit again and plus I didn't have to do secured. How long before I should try for my first credit line increase.??? Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  6. After trying for 3 months to try to get a cap one secured card, which I was going to do tonight because I have been so busy, I was ready to my rebuilding process with 3 secured cards. I went to cap ones website and started the process and said what the hell and just applied for the platinum card, and low and behold somehow I got it with a 300 limit. I was shocked. A few things 1.Should I try to recon for a higher limit, and if so where and when do I call, 2. Is there another card I can apply for that I might get accepted for based on the cap one acceptance. Meaning if I dont have to put money up for a secured card then why would I, because I was denied for a BOA secured card. Thanks for the help Joe
  7. I thought it was 3% across the board, learn something new every dayCapOne wants you to have your Pi and eat it too.And they will never offer rewards on a secure cardExactly, no rewards just cash back. Bummer huh?Any idea when this is suppose to go into affect Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  8. When is this going into affect Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  9. Has anyone heard anything about the secured cards with them. Are they going to graduate because that was the rumor. Just seeing if anyone has heard.
  10. Has anyone found out about cap1 or discover and there possible new secured card programs?
  11. Does this show on any credit report Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
  12. I was approved for 5 lines through sprint and was wondering if they report.
  13. OK thanks everyone.. I have a lot of cleaning up to do as well and love all the information that's here..i will keep everyone updated..
  14. Well I dont know about that but I am still waiting for my membership to be opened but I applied for the secured card and the secured loan using the same pull for the membership and was approved for both pending the membership being opened and funds deposited. As already mentioned, secured loans are a waste of time. You need to focus on revolving credit to build better scores. will do so I am going to do the Cap1 for 500 and the DCU for 500 any other suggestions right now
