  1. Domestic partner and I carpool today. It would be nice to have a second vehicle to add options.

  3. Mizliz, I paid for the score so I was comparing Fico to Fico (I have a service, but don't trust FAKO scores and wanted to see where the deletion would put me).
  4. Disputed old CO due to fall off 11/2014 yesterday online w/TU and Mon by fax w/EX & EQ (couldn't get online to work). This morning gone from TU & 21 pt bump. Woot woot!
  5. Thanks guys! Yep, my thought is dispute now, give it the 30 to resolve, then start looking at prequal in 60-90 so timeline wise I should be good. My LO did say it wouldn't be a deal breaker, but the score bump could mean a big difference in rate offers based on the score boost since it is the only baddie. Appreciate the help!
  6. Hi All - New to the mortgage board, but long time CBer here. I have one negative left ($1400 CC CO) that is due to drop off reports in Nov/Dec. I plan to start the mortgage pre-approval process 60-90 days from now. Is there any potential negative impact to disputing the one negative early (now) as obsolete instead of waiting for it to drop in November/December? I could use the score bump it may provide.. Thanks in advance.
  7. Wow, that's pretty crazy. I know they used to do the transactional approvals and no limits, but moved to a limit-based card maybe a year or two ago, so I wasn't sure. I typically purchase about $200 at a time max there, but thought it would be nice to have the higher limit in case I did want to carry a balance for some odd reason.
  8. After a pretty hot streak of opening a couple of new accounts (including an Amex Green card - finally in with them! ) I decided to hit up my existing accounts with puny limits for CLIs. Except for Citi/BB, I was successful across the board. However, Macys' response was below (I gave the reason as redecorating the house and needs some decor/furniture). In order to process your request, we highly suggest that you go to the store and one of our store associates will be more than happy to partner with our Credit Granting Department to accommodate you with your purchase. That soun
  9. Follow WhyChat's method (to the letter) on the two medical collections and hopefully you should get them removed. http://whychat.5u.com/ If you have specific questions on those two accounts, post them in the medical forum. That should make a pretty solid difference if those are the only negatives on your reports. Make sure you're paying revolving lines before statement cut (not just by due date) to prevent balances from reporting and showing high utilization. The more age you get on the newer accounts, the better off you'll be as well. Hopefully some others can chime in as wel
