Sunday, unexpectedly, we lost one of our own. After a sudden diagnosis of liver cancer just two days before, our very own mama Breeze lost her battle with this disease and passed away on Sunday afternoon. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family.
We know that many of you will be as devastated as we are to learn of this, and we know that you will share in our grief. We will be in the Feedback forum with you, sharing our memories and our tears. We encourage you to join us there.
We started on this journey fifteen years ago - breeze, Pam, LKH, and radi8. Through everything that has transpired over the past fifteen years, we have always remained family - and Mama breeze was an integral part of that family. We will be posting additional information here, as much as we can while still respecting her desire for privacy and anonymity. For now, while we process our grief, we will close this notice with Godspeed, Mama. We miss you so much already.

Correct me if I am mistaken, but not everyone is eligible for nfcu membership anymore since they closed the back door San Diego membership? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk Correct. He posted that on May 1 though when it was true. Along the same lines, any other recommendations for different banks similar to the nfcu back door method. I have no military affiliation. Thanks. So, I was feeling depressed after receiving my Chexysytems report and EWS report about a week ago and started the dispute process. Despite having the usual online bank accounts, I wanted a physical location to bank with here in CA. So I took Mary's advice and called my local US Bank in Goleta, CA (near Santa Barbara) which is an in-store branch (Ralph's Supermarket) and spoke to a very nice CSR. I laid it all on the line and told her that my report was about 3 years old. She said come in and lets give it a try, which made me feel quite reluctant because of the past horror stories I read, that a bank will open an account, and then freeze it a week later. She said "NOOOOOO, we don't do that we are NOT BOFA". I asked, "are you sure?" She replied yes, I used to work for BOFA :-) Well, it was a success. I managed to open both a checking and savings account. Finally, when I signed the signature card, I read the bottom portion carefully which stated, " Chexsystems verified (Checkmark), Customer has chexsystems record: No checkmark. The CSR claims if it (the report) is somewhat aged, it may not even show up on their system. So folks, don't give up, keep trying!! Mary and CB, I am eternally grateful!!
Greetings to all: I was wondering if there is a list of banks that don't use Early Warning Services (EWS)? I of course have a chexsystems record (2 baddies) and one record with EWS -- which I am disputing. I did manage to open an account with TAB a few years ago, and they have not closed my account due to the recent news that has been circulating. To safeguard myself I opened a fidelity smartcash account which is awesome (thanks MCA). At any rate, is there a list circulating of which banks subscribe to EWS? I know BOFA, Wells Fargo, Chase etc. own EWS, but I'm assuming that more banks subscribe to their service; the question is who does? Thanks.
