I recently found an account on my Experian credit report which is in collection and reporting over 90 Days late.

It has the ending of –XUS but I don’t have any late accounts with any vendors or credit card companies and never received any late payment notices. I would like to identify the company that reported this account, but I cannot get a reply from Experian business neither do I get any indications online of what kind of account – XUS is. ChatGPT says it could be an American Express, but I don’t have any discrepancies with American Express at all. Did anybody hear about this Ending for accounts "-XUS "or knows how I can find out which company is recording?

I just applied for an American Express Blue Business Plus Credit Card last month. After the application it was pending, and I had to send in a 4506-C form, along with a bunch of bank statements, apparently they only needed only 1 account of statements, but I used my household income, so I had to send statements from my parents too, and I sent in some from my business bank account too even though I never use it.

I was hoping that I would be accepted, and I was almost sure of it considering my 754 Experian score I had while applying. However, to my surprise I opened the American Express Application Status website tonight, and it says Denied.

Obviously its super unfortunate, as I was looking forward to starting my business credit journey, which I have been eager about, and getting a Chase Ink Card after, but now it is kind of starting to look otherwise.

I think my next step is probably going to be calling the reconsideration line in a minute here once it opens, and if not I can just apply after I get a thicker file. I am about to add my first open installment loan so I'm expecting a small boost from that too.

What do you guys think are the next steps if I can't get reconsidered? Waiting it out? Just using my personal income on my application? Try to get approved for the Chase Ink first? A business secured credit card? I'm not really too invested in business credit so obviously I'm trying not to tie up any money but still get my foot through the gate, leaving secured products as a last resort as I see business credit as more of a hobby

I got two new cards through my business. They both required verification of who I am including my social security number and copy of ID with selfie but there is no personal guarantee AND only a soft inquiry on my credit bureau report.

	1. Coast Pay. It's a universal fleet card that can be used ANYWHERE. They insist on linking the application to your business checking and that's how they determine your credit limit. From application to approval was same day and I had my card in a week. This card was approved for $2,000.

	1. Bill Divvy Card through bill.com. This is a business visa card that looks pretty darn cool. The application process worked pretty close to the Coast Pay except I was approved for the amount I asked for which is $7,500. I regret not asking for more.

Both cards are charge cards which means you cannot revolve any balance. PIF. On the Coast Pay card payment is due every two weeks and they require automatic payment. The Divvy card is due once a month.

I've now gotten 11 tradelines reporting to my DNB file in about 8 months.

I must say, I'm truly surprised that there's hardly any activity in the business forum. I was on this website back in 2005 through 2008 and this place was popping with information and now hardly anything current is being reported.

I'm working on a new business that's been going for the last year and I'm making good money and trying to establish credit and I can't believe how difficult it is nowadays to establish business credit. I honestly think that the entire business credit game has changed significantly.

I have a couple trade lines reporting to my Dun and Bradstreet and I'm on the verge of having a paydex score. Thankfully my Experian business report has a lot of accounts reporting.

I came across an account called mudflap Visa then the approval process was so easy. The account is for fuel but is a Visa card. No personal guarantee required. I didn't get a very high starting limit but probably because I don't have a lot of business credit out there, but I was thankful to get the approval.

I was also approved recently for a Fuelman card with a $5,000 starting limit and I got both of these without a paydex score.

I also have an account with a company called Credit Jey and they're great. I love them. They have a virtual Visa card so that I can make purchases anywhere, with any merchant. I have a $5,000 limit and I paid it off several times.

Credit Key says they report to all of the business credit bureaus but I have yet to see any reporting. Maybe they are just backlogged.

So as many of you know I tried this before just to see if the process of getting approved has gotten better and that was derailed by DNB..We know it has gotten better but let's see how much.

I just moved back up to NH so even though I was already registered as a foreign company up here I needed to withdraw that company and re form domestically.

I much prefer a Inc over a LLC for credit building but because of taxes ( Yes NH has taxes and actually pretty high for businesses) I formed a LLC.

Started with the basics;

Formed LLC

Local business number via freedom voice

Residential address

Company in the construction industry

Listed On Google places and a few other search engines

Placed a order with MSC Direct to get started. I will say I use to say Grainger was the easiest account to get new but I have put MSC direct at the top of the list. You literally create a account online and either call or chat give them your tax id and your instantly have a $1k limit. Also they report very quickly.

The one cheating part that may come into play is I was able to transfer my business Verizon account to the new LLC in NH so that may taint the results a little if they report.

I need some more promo materials so Amsterdam will probably be my next account.

I will update this thread as I go. And I may try to duplicate the results down the road with another company. I will have at least a few more companies for tax purposes, NH has some serious tax on profit over $50k and also doesn't recognize S Corps not to mention a tax on dividends.

	Hello,

I wanted to start from scratch (on my own) to get business credit, while doing business in the state of Nevada (under a Nevada corporation), as it is too costly to do business in California. Yet I was wondering has anyone had trouble getting business credit when using a virtual office location as their business location address?

I just have a feeling with so many virtual offices/UPS Stores/rent by the hour business meeting rooms out there, that a potential lender (especially banks) might see a red flag when their computer identifies a virtual office location (as a customer’s physical business location) and deny credit. I don’t mind using my home address as my physical business location on my business paperwork, but I do not want my home address to end up online whenever people do an online business search of my business . . . as this has happened to me unexpectedly before (in the early 2000's) when I started a business.

So this time around, I’m trying to make sure that my home address does not become part of my business in any way, thus is why I want to keep everything under a Nevada corporation (including all addresses reflecting a Nevada location) . . . yet I’m not sure if using a virtual office (that allows use of their physical address as my business address) will be a problem getting business credit in Nevada. So I was wondering if anyone has had trouble using a virtual office address (as their physical business location) while trying to get business credit from vendors . . . and especially trying to get business credit from banks (while using a virtual office location as a physical business address).

I just got my biz approved for a Grainger net 30 account. While I was talking to the girl in the new accounts department, I asked if they report to D&B. She said yes, they report twice a year - in the Spring and in the Fall. They have not reported yet for Spring 2011, and she didn't know exactly when they will.

So, for those building biz credit and looking for a TL that reports to D&B, you may want to give them a call and get setup asap to take advantage of their Spring reporting.

Provide them additional information/financials?

Firstly that title rhymed - secondly, I'm seeing plenty of reports from other sources with approvals with new Chase cards specifically on the business end (but personal as well) while above to way above the 5/24 "Rule".

I'm not sure if it's frowned upon to post outside links to other sources/videos so will leave it at that for now. But for the sake of conversation share your results if you're at 5/24+ and have applied and been denied or approved with Chase recently or from here on forward.

	Hello

I am starting an IT company, we will provide web hosting and other related services. I am in Houston. Using home address and LLC established in May of 2024. My personal credit has gone bad recently (past 6 months or so). Which banks would you guys recommend that would easily open an account for a new online based business with a home address and a cellular phone as the business phone.
I have applied with First Convenience Bank but they are taking forever. They wanted proof of website ownership (provided) asked too many questions that I had already previously answered and just keep repeating questions. They even made me sign the card but still haven't approved the account. It has been 3 working days.

Any other suggestions? Heard credit unions open accounts easily. Check systems looks clear but don’t know if EWS is clean or not. Probably not.

I only have 2 trades on my credit report so far. My Fico score is over 730 with just a $500 secured credit card I have had for almost 2 years and an auto loan that I have had for about 3 years. All payments on time, no lates, public filing, pretty empty. I also have a 3 year old LLC that is compliance and with a DnB and Experian score. I am not sure what they are but I have always paid bills on time, never late. I am now trying to raise $100k for a business. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you to everybody!

I purchased an S.Corp and it's registered in South Carolina, always has been and I plan to have an address there in a year so I don't want to change that. In the meantime, the company's address has been moved from the previous owner's business address to an iPostal1 address, because they offer Registered Agent services there.

Will using that iPostal1 address hurt me while building credit because it's with iPostal1? If I'd prefer to use it, can I? I also have a physical office address here in NY where I am working right now, finishing up a job for a year or so and it's actually my office in a building. I could use this address if I need to or if it's better, it's just the registered address for the corp will show South Carolina. Will that be a problem? And I also have a NY residential address, but I understand using a residential address isn't ideal.

Which address would be ideal to use while building credit? And if it's the NY office address, will having the South Carolina address as the registered agent be a problem? Which address should I use for 411? My work is mostly online and I don't need anything at any of the locations physically, no traffic or actual equipment or anything.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry if this is OT but I'm beside myself. I'm not sure if I will be filing taxes .I'm not too happy with the killing my taxes are reposible for. Anyway, I want to apply to TD Bank for their 100k BLOC. It says there's no documentation but it DOES ask if the business filed taxes in the last 18 months. Why if it's a no doc?

If not, they ask for a financial projection. But since it's "no doc" is it better to just tick the box that says you filed taxes? What bothers me is they either ask you to state you haven't filed taxes, which is illegal. Yet if you lie that you filed, that's illegal too!

Please can someone clue me in. It's like a Catch 22. My understanding is the only way to get started in high credit is to "lie." in some way. That's what Trump told me many years ago. LOL. On credit card apps and "liar loans" people lie like hell. I understand the public boyscout answer is don't EVER lie, so I don't need that answer. I need some real answers. Feel free to pm me.

	Hello, old friends!

I'm not be as active as I used to be... But you bet your @$$ I'm still a lurker... And I know where to go when I need advice. 🤣

Happy to report that I officially hit the 850 club at the end of 2023!

Sidenote update, though... I have an LLC! I started operating my LLC in 12/2020. But decided it was time to "officially" put it on paper, so I did in Q3 '23. Another credit challenge to tackle, right? Filed with the Feds and State. Have my EIN. Looking for advice/suggestions on a few things, if you'd all be so kind?

Let's start with "out of the gate" approvals (And I mean... Literally... Within a week of LLC Formation):
AMEX Business Cash - $25,000 (Cold app'd... But already had the Amazon Prime card + personal dating back to 2006)

AMEX BLOC - $27,000 (I know it's not a TRUE LOC - It's a "Fee Structured Loan" that you can continuously draw on. But I was on an approval streak, and it just popped up at some point throughout the day)

Bill.com (DIVVY) - $12,000 (Cold app'd simply for Business Credit reporting)

Chase Ink Business Unlimited - $25,000 (Had a pre-approval from before LLC even formed)

US Bank Business Cash - $25,000 (They have my Estate Plan/Trust/Wealth Management... And my banker intro'd me to a Business VP... Probably helped a little?)

	Advice needed:

What else should I be aiming for? I did ULINE and submitted NewEgg App... To get started with Net30's.

ISO: A business Auto - Preferably one that doesn't report to Personal. Happy to PG... That part isn't a concern. Potentially moving within the next 12 months, assuming rates come back down to reasonable. Don't need to muddy the waters with a $1,000 business vehicle payment on my Personal reports. From what I've read... BofA Business Advantage can be a solid way to go, as they don't report to Personal. But I don't know how their underwriting is for "fresh on Paper" LLCs?

Any suggestions from y'all on other Business Trade Lines and the Auto mentioned above?

I am hoping for some recommendations for business loans that don't require a personal guarantee. Here is a little background on my company.

I'm not a new company, I started it as a sole proprietor in May 2017, I didn't have a lot of focus at the time it began as I was still working full time at my other job. In 2019 I began making some money and in October of 2022 I became a LLC. I deposit approximately $8000-$12000 per month into my business account, plus accept payments via PayPal and cashapp as well. I have one trade account in good standing with a office supply company. My personal credit sucks. It's around the 550 range, which I am working to improve. In terms meantime I need to hire a few people and to cover training g costs, payroll for those people during their first few weeks, I need a loan or possibly a business credit card that won't need a personal guarantee.

What are some of the options I should look into? Anyone have any suggestions? I'm in the state of California if that matters.

	Thanks everyone in advance.

Elan offers an 18 month interest free intro offer which is the longest I've seen so far. They also periodically offer really low interest periods when doing balance transfers using existing Elan cards. 1.9, 2.9 and 3.9% offers for between 12 and 18 months are quite common.

Hello, I see a lot of information on what I'm about to ask here, but I just wanted to see the best option to get a business credit card in the business name only.

I have a landscaping business, but just recently incorporated. I want to move everything into the business name, as well as get a business credit card, but I do not want to use my social security number. I want to only use business EIN number.

What are some good places to start? Am I just going to have to wait it out a couple years to get a credit card without my personal credit? In the meantime, should I go ahead and use my own credit?

Please let me know what you think, thanks for any help.
