By doing what I do! biggrin.gif

I'm sure it's been talked about before on here, and I have definitely read articles about this and have friends tell me, but what I do is I set aside $100 one time in my checking account.

For example, if I get paid say $1000, I only add to my check register $900 as a deposit, therefore creating a pseudo-overdraft protection of $100 in my account in case I screw up somehow by miscalculating my check register or miss inputing a withdrawal or charge blush2.gif (which is known to happen from time to time).

Anybody else do this? One of my ex-bosses sets aside $100 each paycheck not only for overdraft protection but for savings well.

I do something similar. I round down my deposits and round up my withdrawals/debits to achieve the same result.

I have a "pseudo-overdraft" of $1,000 anything more goes to ING.

I do something very similar. I try to not go below $200 in my checking account. That way my balance is accurate (not that it would be hard to add $200 back in), and I have more over draft protection.

I need to set up Overdraft protection with my bank ASAP, they just charged me $34 and whats frustrating is, there was money in my savings account. But it was my mistake sad.gif

I have so much to learn here!
