Okay, I am a newbie so forgive me if I stumble. Ihave 2 student loans on my report that I need to get my money back for.

1 loan was pd via taking my income taxes-but this loan isn't mine I was still in High School, I have tried to dispute this many times but get know where.

the other loan was for a school that I did got to but didn't take out a loan, I disputed it and they told me that they would send me a copy of the promisary note, but in fact sent this foreign form. This too was taken out of my income tax return.

So I am at a stand still.......HELP! dntknw.gif

Who is the guarantee agency?? Who is the money actually going to is what I mean...Department of Education, a state guarantey agency...the name should be on the paper you get back from the IRS with the notice of tax seizure. If you dont know, call 1-800-4FEDAID...give them your SSI #. They will be able to tell you exactly who the loan is thru. You want the holders name and phone...not the collection agency. Call them...demand a legible copy of the prom note. Also...what school was this for? The school might have a copy. Who had access to you SSI # back then?? Could this be a family member who took this loan in your name??

Lynn,
Thanks, I will give that a try. It was paid to Department of ED. One of the schools closed, and I don't know about the other schools. Do you think I have a chance of getting this resolved or shoul I just let it go?

My brother was the only one that went to college at that time. I hope that number can tell me what school.
