My student loans show a series of bad lates on my TU report, but nothing at all on my EX and EQ. The lates were from a period when I basically had no contact with Direct Loan Services, the fed govt's Stafford servicer. Any ideas on how I could get these baddies removed from the TU?

You can try disputing with TU or writing a goodwill letter to whoever is reporting the lates. No guarantees, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I have the same situation here. Only reporting the baddies on TU, so I just did an on-line dispute with TU yesterday as "never late"--will update with the results.

I think I'll wait for your results and see how it goes. My TU would be totally clean if not for those student loan lates. It's the only report they're on!

I did that dispute with TU and it came back verified. They also updated with EX and EQ to show all of those multiple 120 lates as well. SUCKS! I know that's not what you want to hear, but I would try a goodwill letter via planetfeedback.com if you want. Just thought I would update this for you.
