I had just been turned down for a mortgage because my scores were in the 550-570's.
I read and read and read, sent letters, read some more. I even made phone calls after I shouldn't have, but only with documented proof in hand. I have had 4 collections and a judgment removed. I have 6 new tradelines with positive history now.
My scores are 686, 674, and 662. I am closing on my house in a few days from now, on the 14th. I couldn't have done any of this without the expert advice given here.
And I still read everyday, because even though I have decent credit now, I'm not yet in the 700 club
