[B]Hi, I have a question about late payments on two old loans which I consolidated. They show a few lates from almost two years ago. Has anyone had any luck with A goodwill type letter? I have had a lot of success with this method with other types of Creditors. I know I cannot rehab my loans so what other recourse is there for me? Any help would be appreciated.

If the late pays were with the original lender, you might try disputing to see if they come off. If they were after you consolidated, you might try goodwill but I won't offer you much hope. Student loans can be really difficult.

I'm interested to see if anyone posts with positive outcome.
I have 5 student loans with NelNet: all paid off since '02 but with each with one 60 day late from 1998. I've disputed with all three CBs and with NelNet and have written a goodwill letter. No luck so far. GRRRRR!!!!
I believe that they will fall off after 7 years. I hope that is correct, anyway.
