Currently, all of my student loans are showing deferred but is this really a good thing? I have been trying to re-establish my credit but creditors are saying because of these deferrments I can't get credit. Input please?

Since your loans are in deferment, you are not showing any payment history and that may be what the creditors are looking at. What is you reason for deferment?

I have 2 student loans out, each are for about 3,000 dollars. Both in deferrment. Wierd thing is, I went to college and my father pays/paid for it. He will pay these loans but why are they in deferrment?

Way back when I started with student loans in 1992, they didn't show as deferred. Except for the balance, they showed that they were happily being paid, with a new entry every month.
Not so, now. These days, it just shows deferred, which is correct.
I *do* recommend that people pay their interest while in school. I didn't and now I'm suffering the consequences, especially since some of my loans were at 8-9% for a while.
