I am in the process of getting a 2004 Tacoma. It is a double cab ,v6,automatic, prerunner, power everything. They are trying to sell it to me for 21,300. Is this a good deal or should I ask for lower? I really don't know much about all this that is why I am asking for some help. Any information you guys will give me will be greatly appreciated. My beacon is 689 so what kind of rate should I expect for 72 months?
Please help!

I looked around and got the invoice at 18,447 and retail for 20,090. Should I ask for invoice or retail? Also it being the end of september and they need to sell this car right? Does it matter that the 2005 is completly changing?

They should be ready to move the 04...especially if the 05's are redesigned.

OK I went and found the truck on there web site and printed out all the info. I then went to kelly blue book and put all the information in and it came back as 21,533.00 invoice and 23,820.00 retail. So them offering me 21,300 is good right or should I push them some more? I am also putting 5,000 negative equity with it if this helps.
Does anyone know what my apr should be for 72 months with a 689 beacon?
Thanks for help trout and any one else that replys

72 months screams upsidedownness. is this really the vehicle you need?
as far as APR have you considered DCU or Patelco CU? They may be able to do better than the dealer; unless the dealer gets you a promo APR.

It appears that the price you are being offered is a good price IMO. However you should now be concerned about what you are getting for your trade vehicle as a fair appraisal, you may or may not have 5K of negative equity involved depending on the appraisal.
For rates associated with your auto enhanced score, check out the bank rate sticky at the top of the forum.

I got the loan at 6.90 for 72 months. I saw on the bank rates thread that I maybe can do better with 689 beacon? Should i ask the dealer to try on of these banks or do it myself? Or can I do change now that I have signed papers for this bank at 6.90? I live in SC does that matter to the banks out of state? Sorry for so many dumb questions, but thanks for help everyone I am learning alot from this board. I know I should not be doing the 72 months but this is the truck that I want and willing to pay for.

You did ok on the price of vehicle.. Here in the Dallas area most all Toyota dealers are willing to sell 04 models at $500 to 1,200 below invoice based on my shopping experience.
We didn't get a Toyota but fyi.
