Would these guys give out a loan in order to pay for a computer and pay off some bills? Who would be the easiest to get one with if at all possible?

Spoon -
With some student loans, you can take out extra to pay for school supplies (which I guess a computer could fall under). I guess technically they wouldn't know if you used some extra to pay bills too. I used some of my loan money to cover food and rent. Wish I hadn't though, coz I'll be paying on these til I'm old and gray. If I had it to do all over again (well I'd do a lot of things differently... lol), but I'd have cut back more and worked more hours. Would have been tough, but better than graduating with tons of debt.
As for lenders, ask your school's financial aid office what sort of loans are available to you. They should be able to help you out.

How do I go about asking for money to pay for bills and such? I want to get a computer for school ($2,000) also. Is there anything I should keep in mind that may help them agree to loan me the money? If I am able to get it, will it be deferred like the federal loans I have or will I have to start paying back immediately? Thanks for any help.

Oh yeah, one more thing.
How hard is it to get a loan through these loan folks? Are they more leniant than CC companies? Thanks again.
Edited to add:
I currently have the federal loans through Wachovia bank. Should I just go through them or use Sallie Mae or those types of lenders?
