Ok I just called AES/PHEAA (American Education Services) and they told me that my loans were in Default, I fugured as much. They identified themselves (AES) as a "Servicer."

They told me NJ HESAA is my "Guarantor" and that they "Have" my Loans since it is in Default...

So how do i approach NJ HESAA about asking:

1) If DIrectLoan can Pay them, as i think they can.. what "Loan Type" is it they have codes A through W?

2) Should i give them a call? Wont they try to collect?

3) Is it a certain TYPE of Loan that NJ HESAA, the "Guarantor," is? Wont Department of Ed DirectlOan pay them, the "Guarantor"?

4) Even if i DONT call them and fill out the form Anyway (it is within 180 days) cant they adjust it and put it through anyway?

Saria, you are always -most helpful- here I wanted to post this up before i did Anything...

Thanks! smile.gif

And PS: Yes i had 2 sets of Loans.. .these are the -larger- set, from 2001, which it seems i am just addressing now.. IT IS TIME!!!
