Full Version: ASKED FOR ID AT JC PENNEYS

GEORGE
CHICKEN SCRATCH PEN PAD SIGNATURE WAS NOT CLOSE ENOUGH TO THE ONE ON THE BACK OF THE CREDIT CARD

"I HAVE VISA'S MERCHANT POLICY IN MY WALLET IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT...IT TELLS ABOUT ASKING FOR ID"

"MY DRIVER'S LICENSE WON'T DO YOU MUCH GOOD SINCE IT WAS SIGNED LIKE TWENTY YEARS AGO"

"YOU CAN SEE MY TARGET VISA CARD SIGNATURE IT IS ALSO A CHICKEN SCRATCH"

"I DON'T SIGN MY CHICKEN SCRATCH THE SAME TWICE IN 5 MINUTES"

==============================================================
Long story short...no ID...I got away with my electric blanket...everybody that thefts a credit card (WHERE I LIVE) always
buys an electric blanket at JC PENNEYS instead of that BIG SCREEN TV AT BEST BUY or SEARS

Regular price said $199.99

I wouldn't pay $199.99 for it if some stranger in the store offered to pay for it for me

Got the DOOR BUSTER SALE PRICE...$69.99 that was really for SATURDAY 7am--->1pm

An additional $10.00 off coupon on the front cover of the ad
==============================================================
SLIGHTLY offtopic.gif

NO ID AT THE RESTAURANT FOR DINNER (before JC PENNEYS)...(got $10.00 off dinner too)

NO ID AT THE GROCERY STORE AFTER DINNER
(she wanted some icecream)

Jeepers, $199 for an electric blanket? Y'all really really need to move somewhere where prices are sane. Where I live, it might have been $19.99 although I did manage to find one on sale for $12.99.

So they attempted to compare signature? Or were you immediately asked for ID prior to the clerk making any effort to check your signature against the card?

last time I was at my moms house I found an old elect. blanket that had to be from the 1970s, maybe older. the coils were real thick and the blanket was made out of hideous man-made product. I probably should have donated it to a museum.

"Wal-Mart gets unfairly critcized. There is nothing wrong with Wal-Mart."

"Where do you shop?"

"I shop at JC Penney... their quality is better."

The STORE you buy at doesn't really affect the quality. It's the product. If I get the new Call of Duty game at Best Buy versus Wal-Mart, it makes no difference. However, if I go to Brooks Brothers and get a new tailored Italian wool suit versus getting a $99 suit at Walmart that is made from polyester, there's a difference.

In other words, the store does... or can... affect quality as well. A game is a game is a game, you bet. But, W-M can stock better quality suits if they want to, they just don't choose to because that's not their target market. Nothing wrong with that, but people choose the store because of the particular merchandise and their budget & needs.
