Full Version: Judgement After Almost Foreclosure?

About a year ago we started going thru the foreclosure process with Countrywide. We were able to get a loan modification for the missed payments and have not been late since. The loan was then taken over by BOA.

Today we went to get a car loan and a judgement with Bank of NY for the balance of the mortgage came up! We were shocked! How is there a judgement on there when everything was resolved? We have papers to prove that a loan modification was agreed upon, signed and then foreclosure was stopped.

How do we get this judgement off?

You will most likely have to get a lawyer involved to get the judgment removed. They will have to submit to the court with some sort of agreement from BOA saying that the judgment is not valid. Then the court will sign off of it and you will get it removed.
