So I am about to default on Perkins Loan, but according to General Revenue Corp (Direct Loan), I have already defaulted on it, and now they want me to consolidate with them ASAP. I have yet to talk to my school about what exactly is going on.

Have you guys consolidated with GRC before? How has the experience been?

Should I just consolidate this Perkin Loans with GRC if my school insists or my other Salliemae loans too?

GRC is not Direct Loans. GRC is a collection agency, not affiliated with any loan program. They can consolidate you thru Direct Loans.

If a CA is collecting on a Perkins, then you are in default
