for all papers from the beginning of when I signed for the loans? Supposedly I have two student loans, and they were consolidated; one is from a school loan back in 1987(geez). Just got a call from FMS and the balance is $4600 and I can't pay as I am unemployed.

FMS lady read off years of tax offsets and years I have paid. Credit report is reporting 2 different agencies and 2 different amounts and once I pay this off I want to make sure there is nothing more owed. FMS said they didn't have any paperwork and contact US Dept of ED. Is there somewhere online I can find my info on my "account"?

The best source of information online for federal student loan data is the NSLDS: http://www.nslds.ed.gov/nslds_SA/

If you don't have a DOE PIN, you'll need to register for one here: http://www.pin.ed.gov/PINWebApp/appinstr.jsp
