I opened up a BOA my access checking account only to receive an email the next day that they could not open an account for me. I have been declined by M&T Bank and Chevy Chase. sad.gif

I have been looking for a bank that has a certain bill pay set up, where they take the money out of your account when they cut the check for bill pay or when the selected due date comes opposed to them sending out checks and acashing when the payee presents for payment.

Could some provide me with a list of banks that are chex and I suppose now EWS friendly. I have nothing on my Telecheck report. I am in the DC Metro area and my zip is 20707. Please help??? Thank you!

Someone here recommended a prepaid Bankfreedom card awhile back. They will issue a mc or visa prepaid debit card. No credit check, EWS, telecheck or credit check. They will pull a soft to verify your address.

If you direct deposit at least $350/mo in payroll deposits, there is no monthly fee. You can also load from a bank account and PayPal instead of using that Money Pak thing. You get a traditional routing & account number as a checking account. No one knows it's a pre paid card.

I've used the bill pay only twice. It's $1.00 for them to cut a check and mail it. Cheaper than a WM money order & stamp. They remove the funds immediately when you use the bill pay. The checks were received in less than 5 business days.

There are some limitations. If the card is swiped and the transaction does not go thru (you cancel the order) they will wait up to 30 days to remove that charge so be careful when committing to purchase. Other than a few headaches, I don't find them any more expensive than a local bank.

Good card if you're looking to fly below the radar for awhile.

WoodForest will for sure approve you .. they do have bill pay as well .. you MUST apply in person

Form of Verification used by bank
Chexsystems and telecheck
Special Notes
2nd Chance account is $7.95 if you have direct deposit
$9.95 if you do not.

$25.00 one time debit card processing fee

However, in 6 months or less, the branch determines if you can move to a regular account or open a savings in addition to the second chance account, regular accounts, you can open immediately!

(complimentary overdraft) requiring no credit will kick in after 30 days. It is $500 for direct deposit or $300 without it.

ALSO! Phone and Online banking are immediate overnight and they're open 7 days! They are VERY friendly and nice to those reported to chexsystems.

Before you can open an account with Woodforest National Bank we do run Telecheck and Chexsystems. If you have any unpaid closures reported by a merchant or another financial institution on either one of these reports you will only qualify for our Second Chance Checking account. You will be able to open an account with us as long as we are able to properly verify your identity and you do not have an unpaid charged off account with Woodforest National Bank.
