Is it quicker to just dispute my student loans w/the bureaus in order to get the defaulted ones to come off?

If you do a search, you'll see that this has been discussed several times before. Some folks have reported getting the TLs removed a bit early with a dispute. IIRC, Stryker was able to do this.
