DCU has a secured VISA card. Does anyone know:
If they require a checking account for their secured VISA?
If they use Chex for new secured VISA cards?
Which CR do they pull most often?
I checked MCA's web site, and did a comprehensive search on this forum. No hits, using the searches I used. I also checked their web site, and still can't find an answer. It is Sunday, and they are not answering.
I'll update this thread tomorrow with the results.

I hope they don't require you to have an open checking account to get a secured visa, their banking products are kind of subpar, but I like how easy they are on CL as I have heard on CB.

Hi All,
I just came from my mailbox. I sent my application/deposit to open a savings at DCU on September 17th. I was denied due to a chex entry. I also wanted the secured Visa.
Guess they are using chex now or at least with some people.

They have always used chexsystems but they were approving anyone for a savings in the past, I guess that has changed.

Hi..
I know they always used chex but from other posts I've read, they used it for a checking acct and used Equifax for a savings.
It's fine though...I was approved for a savings/checking at Associated Credit Union....yesss!
Now on to cleaning up the bank mess due to a angry ex.
Thanks for all the great info CBer's.
