I have this Liquor/Deli right across the street from my house. I bought a sandwich and tried to pay using my Credit Union Visa card. The clerk told me that there is a .50 charge for using a credit card under $10, but if I wanted to use my debit card then there would be no charge. Granted .50 isn't very much, it still irritated me that I was getting penalized for using credit.

From nothing...to a letter of reprimand...to termination of service and/or a fine in the $1,000's

Nothing if they don't get reported of if no one disputes the charge.

The more complaints, the more likely something is to happen. So it's worth taking a couple of minutes and calling Visa about it.

I had a store charge more.... I called Visa.. and the next time I went they no longer added the fee. Who knows though.. I could have been the 50th person to call.

HEADS ROLLED AT THE SUBWAY I REPORTED

(asked for ID on my signed credit card)

What was really stupid was they didn't even look to see if it was signed first

I let them trash the sandwich and drink and walked off

Went to another business in the mall that had a CLUE and got my food
