Regarding their fees, I found pdf files on their fees and services for residents of certain states:
(link)For POS fees in particular, while I didn't look up what the policy is for the other seven states I can say that in the Arizona pdf file that TCF says it does not charge a fee for POS transactions.
After skimming through the file, I thought to myself, good grief .. and I thought Wells Fargo seemed bad about nickel and diming through myriad fees. TCF appears to be much worse.
I did chance upon one thing
