Hello All, I am new to CB and have been reading here for several months and have learned lots of information and have had alot of success along the way. Thanks to everyone here.

I recently looked at chexsystems and noticed I have a fraud entry from a credit union I have done business with in the past. They say I owe $1100 dollars I allowed someone access to my card and they deposited a check into my account and before I got my card back they spent their $1100 worth of goods and I found out about 7 days later that the check they deposited was on a closed account. I DID NOT benefit from this in anyway I have done business with this CU for about 8 years and they said because I gave the person access to my atm card Im responsible but I am willing to press charges against this person because I never authorized them to write a bad check and ruin my relationship I had with this CU. So I first tried to dispute with Chexsystems so it came back verified. Any suggestions with disputing it with chexsystems and does anyone have any ideas on how to clear this matter up or am I responsible?

just a little bit more info the person stopped answering the phone and I have no further contacts with this person.

any help please !!!!!!

what is your zip code there? Do you still need an account?

Legally, the account owner is bound by the agreement that was signed when the account was opened. Most standard agreements indicate the primary account holder is responsible for all deposits and will maintain the account in a positive status.

What does your chexsystems report say? Does it indicate fraud? The below site will help you more

No I dont need the account.
It doesnt say fraud but states deposits were made into my account from a closed account leaving a negative balance. I was thinking to get a affidivate or police report do you think that will help? I will read the link as well thanks

when you go to dispute of file a complaint with the OCC or Federal reserve, anything that you have for legal proof will help yes. It will be very hard to have that removed from chexsystems depending on the credit union but I am sure they will fight to keep it listed especially since money is owed to them
