Full Version: Does Mastercard require the word "Mastercard" to appear on receipts?

Visa, in it's merchant regulations, very clearly requires that the word "VISA" be printed on all transaction receipts. Mastercard, as far as I can tell, is silent on the topic. They neither require nor prohibit the practice. I am trying to find any kind of regulation, notification or other official mastercard document which requires the word "Mastercard" on merchant receipts. This is imporant - I am working on a legal matter. Thanks very much for any enlightenment you can provide.

If your working on a legal matter... and seeking specific legal advice... you would be better served seeking a a lawyer and getting legitimate legal advice.

VISA didn't show on my last receipt for BURGER KING

Shows for WALMART...TACO BELL...SAFEWAY...CARL'S JR (just took some out of the pile of credit card receipts)

What would it matter if it showed or not

The last 4 numbers show on the receipt if you need to see if it is VISA or MC
