I applied for a parent plus loan and was denied initially then approved through my credit union. However, the university that my son will attends uses direct loans and no one else. I was told that with direct loans you borrow straight from the government. I had to reapply with the university and I'm denied due to a previous bankruptcy. Does any have information about the appeal process? I called every day last week and I've been told somethng by every csr that I spoke with. My bankruptcy was discharged May 05. I've been that if you have adverse credit you can appeal if the credit has been clean for 5 years you will be approved or else you need a co-signer. If anyone has information or suggestions I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks
You wont win....the BK is too new.
