Has anyone seen changes to their credit card rewards programs since the passing of the CC Bill?

I remember hearing that credit card companies can now make "subtle" changes to their rewards programs including wiping out a customers account balance for missing a single payment! ohmy.gif

I currently have USAA and I would hope they wouldn't do something this slimey, but you never know...

I believe the mandates of the credit card bill don't go into effect until next year, so it may be awhile before we start getting screwed in earnest. But if the government shuts down avenues for revenue while they face all the same costs, something's got to give.

Though I reckon USAA will treat you better than most others will.

I don't believe downgrade of rewards or cash back terms falls under the scope of the new bill so CC companies can resort to it any time they want. Some would argue they have been doing it anyway. Chase Freedom downgrade. Amex Blue Cash downgrade on other category purchases. TYP redemption changes.

A LOWER VALUE FOR THE REWARDS WILL MAKE YOU TONS OF MONEY...and not cost any business or customers
