Hello, yes i have opt out.

I have an old medical bill for $15k that is 5 years old, I believe that this is roughly 1 year away from the Statute of limitations for the state I live in(i have never agreed the debt is mine, nor agreed to payment arrangements), I live in, and the debt is in Wisconsin. I have not heard from the Hospital or collection agency for about 3 years, but I am starting to get a little anxious about a potential judgment(I have not been contacted at all, and there are no pending civil cases against me, its just a feeling). I do not have that much money sitting around collecting dust so my options are rather limited financially. Should I try to wait it out? Or should I try to offer a settlement of a certain %. My fear with offering a settlement is that I will pop up on there radar and they might pursue a judgment against me which would be financially devastating to me.

Thanks for any advice.

This has probably been written off a long time ago, but since it is for a large amount your concern with a potential is justified. Is there a CA currently reporting on your CR?
