Hi, I am new to this board. My husband had surgery almost 2 years ago. It was very expensive surgery! I was paying them( the hospital ) $50.00 a month. And the bill was down to $242.00. With no warning or anything the hospital mad.gif turned us in to " MEDICAL FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS " They called us today and sent us a letter telling us to pay the $50.00 a month to THEM NOW! " They told us this would not go on our credit report! I do not belive them!!! Can anyone tell me if what they said is true or not? PS, My husband was laid off his job several months ago. We are having a hard time making it at all ! If this has already been put on our credit report I would like to know. I do not trust anything that says " THIS IS A COMMUNICATION FROM A DEBT COLLECTOR. THIS IS AN ATTEMPT TO COLLECT A DEBT. ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED WILL BE USED FOR THAT PURPOSE. I truly do not think as hard as things are that the hospital turned us in to a collection agency when we were paying them $50.00 a month. Can anyone help?? smile.gif

From other posts, they seem to be a debt purchaser - really old medical bills. Google them , they list themselves as a medical billing service. Maybe the hospital sold their receivables to them.

Breeze, Thank-You! How can I look at these other posts? I did not trust them. And I think as you say they are a debt purchaser too! How does that work? does it go on our credit report as bad credit? Sherry

The hospital wrote off the balance that was due and this "garbage" CA picked up the data from a data miner.
