That's awesome news. congrats! I have a Charter one near me in a Krogers. I currently have National City and I'm starting to really dislike them, and I have a old CU account in Chex Systems that I'm currently paying for in my CH 13. So Maybe I'll check Charter One out.

DH and I opened an account with C/O. About 1 month goes by and his debit card hasn't arrived. They informed me that it's because he's in chex. NO CLUE!!!!!

Without a paid letter from the other bank.....C/O closed him down. Of course, they still continued to accept his direct deposits, which I find VERY ODD.

Got the letter and they put him back on the account.

He also went in with his mother to be added to her savings account in case of an emergency. Declined due to the chex thing. Had to resubmit the darned letter.

WARNING: Multiple Hard Pulls...GRRRRRRRR

Please keep us posted. Normally I would not trust Charter One. They are a bank that uses chexsystems and has been known in the past to open accounts that were later closed. Maybe something has changed.

I just opened a green checking and a green savings at Charter one with a chexsystems entry. I spoke with the bank manager about my chexsystems report, and she advised me as long as there is not fraud listed, and the account is for less $750 than they will approve you to open your account.

My pleasure MCA biggrin.gif

they do verify accounts through Equifax as well. I just forgot to list that in my previous post. I beleive it is just to verify identity.
